These gloves are great. The red gripping part is very heavy and thick, protecting my delicate hands from burns when pulling hot vessels out from the oven. Just to test the things, I gripped a hot pizza tray (425 degrees F.) out of the oven and just held it, pressing hard to see if any heat would get through. After my arm got tired, maybe two minutes, I was satisfied that these mitts were really doing a great job. The extra long cuffs also keep me from burning my wrists as I move over the oven racks. I'm very happy that I bought these. Looking forward to a long, long and happy relationship. And no burns!

I have to say that I was skeptical. Thought I would try it anyways. I'm Glad I did. I had another silcone product that I hated. This one has a lining in it. Therefore it's comfortable. It can also withstand the heat. I have grilled out and I use these mitts every time. I have to stick my hands inside to get the food sometimes and these haven't failed me. They cover my forearms and hands very well. My hands didn't even get hot. That's the exact reason for buying this product. So, Yes, it does the job they say it will do. These mitts are good quality. Long enough to protect my wrist area
