Wonderful tool

I haven't had these spoons for very long, but I have already gotten great use out of them. First thing of note is that it's a big sucker! It's very long and the spatula/spoon is wide.It's a stiff and sturdy silicone, but has a tapered edge that is soft and flexible, but still strong and not likely to crack or split. The curved edges turn the spatula into a spoon and it's wonderful for scraping around the edges of pots.Because of the size, it's best suited for larger pots of food. I had a chance to test its mettle when I was recently tasked to make a big batch of biscuits and gravy for a large family brunch, cuz I make it better than anyone else. (If you're not southern, you can look it up if you're curious)This was the perfect tool for the job and the best I have ever used. The flat but flexible bottom allowed me to keep moving it across the bottom of the pot to keep the gravy from sticking. The spoon type design allowed me to stir it properly and the curved edges scraped around the sides of the pot to keep the gravy down in the pot. It also serves as a spoon so it would be easy to taste the gravy along the way. I didn't do that because I was sharing this with other people. I used a separate spoon, but had I been making this at home for just me and hubby, I would have been tasting all along using this spoon.It's sturdy and heat proof and stood up well to the thick, bubbling gravy. It's also dishwasher safe and very easy to clean. It's really an excellent addition to my kitchen tool arsenal and it's so well made that I have no doubt that it will be around for years to come.The price is very reasonable for two of these big, sturdy silicone spoons.

Great addition to my new collection of silicone kitchen utensils

Recently, I threw away all of my plastic thin old kitchen utensils. I started a new collection of these silicone kitchen, utensils and I’m so glad I did.The first thing I love about these spoon spatulas is that it’s silicone from the bottom to the top. Some I have, have a wooden handle and they’re not holding up. But the ones that I have that are pure silicone are holding up amazing.This double set of gray spoons spatulas by SvailseAre very high-quality. They have been great for mixing, scooping, scraping and serving. They are dishwasher safe and of course you can always hand wash them. They are BPA free.The spoon part of the spatula is 2.76 inches wide and the overall dimension is 12.6 inches long.These spoons spatulas are a very versatile design. I’ve been using them when I bake, cook my dinners, and use them for serving. I absolutely love the one Peace design, unique being seamless. I never have to worry about food, getting caught in crevices of the design that are two pieces or worry about them falling apart. This is an amazing design and I highly recommend the one piece. Again, they’re very easy to clean even after making caramel or melting cheese. These make an excellent gift.Silicone is heat resistant to up to 600° So you don’t have to worry about anything melting. They are anti-stick and non-toxic. The soft silicone won’t damage your cookware and makes it ideal for nonstick pans and extending their life span.

Nice, solid, useful

These spoons arrived the other day and at first, I was very excited about them. They look quite nice. They’re a good length for stirring all sorts of things, whether in short pans or deep pasta pots, and because of their sort of flat edge, they’re great for scooping things out of a pan or bowl, they’re great for sort of scraping along the bottom of a pan or pot (or bowl), and they’re a great shape for breaking things up in a pan — think breaking up ground beef as you’re cooking it, things like that. They also wash really well, and because of their makeup, you don’t have to worry about bits of food and/or bacteria sticking to them like you have to worry about with wooden utensils. Things you DO have to worry about, according to the instructions for use that come with the spoons, is they can have an odor when you first get them (my spoons did not), you are instructed not to scrape food heavily with them, you are instructed not to use them if they become damaged — I’m assuming this means if you damage the edge of the spoon, but I’m not sure — you’re instructed not to leave them in hot oil for a long time, and you’re instructed to keep them away from any heat source. I’m going to guess that this means not to put them in a flame or leave them on top of a hot burner. Common sense. So all in all, they’re great.

Your new favorite spatula

My husband always cooks breakfast and he is so wierd when it comes to "his" spatula so when I told him he had to use this one he was less than thrilled. With that being said, he liked it.The silicone spatula is flexible enough to scrape every last bit from bowls, jars, and pans with its curved shape.The heat resistance with silicon is a big win. You can drag it across a hot pan without melting or warping.There was a slight smell when I opened the package but it was gone after a day. So far, there has been no residual smell from these spatulas. The seamless design is also a plus which means your spatula won't have the the inner frame pop through. Clean up is easy, either by hand or toss it in the dishwasher.Ergonomically, it’s comfortable to hold, nicely balanced, and just the right size. It feels durable, not flimsy, and after repeated use it still looks basically new.Overall, this is a handy tool, thankfully it comes in a set of two...there is always a clean one to use.
