It’s cool to the touch, covers splashing, and can be opened halfway which is good, so you can shuffle the food on 1/2 of the pan while still covering the other half. And it doesn’t burn from the heat like the metal types do.
It's well worth the money as a splatter screen for pans. Love that it folds in half. You can easily fold half over to flip half of the food your cooking at a time which adds to the prevention of grease splatter. Super easy to clean. Do not recommend using as splatter protection when using a mixer, but otherwise would 10 out of 10 recommend for pans. Fits my 10 and 12 inch perfectly
I bought for my extra large skillets and it almost worked. Liked opening the hinge or stirring through the center flaps. The size did allow to just sit on the rim of my 14" pan, but because of the slick silicon and the fold, with the added heat, it would slide down into the pan. Worked best on the 12"--smaller than that tended to create condensation that dripped off the overhanging areas. But could just be my marginal cooking talents. :)

The shield is easy to clean and can be folded in half and hung to store. I highly recommend this product for anyone and recommend it as a great gift for anyone who enjoys cooking!
it really works perfect easy to fold while in use .. no need of a handle to manage it .... easier to store it . ohh & easy to wash no mess in the kitchen
The price was fine. The quality, stability, easy to use, fit/size perfect. My only issue with it was it got HOT while using to prevent oil from splashing cooking/frying lumpia. Kind of burnt my fingers. Not bad, just wasn’t expecting it to get hot. Cleaned up well in the dishwasher.
This product is pretty good. It blocks the oil while frying food. About five minutes into using I realized I could have just used the lid that came with the pan. What an idiot, but it also works as a strainer! I'm using that excuse to justify my purchase of this product to my wife.! It works great!
