Loving all the silicone products. This was great addition

Recently, I decided to re-do my kitchen utensils. Always purchased them from Dollar tree or any kind of discount store. Well you definitely get what you pay for. So I decided to start purchasing silicone utensils and bowls, etc. When I came across this spatula spoon, I thought I’d give it a try. I’ve purchased a couple different kinds and the only drawback I’ve found on this kind is the wooden handle. I find that the wooden handles a little slippery.This spoon spatula comes with a hook that you can hang your utensils. I absolutely love silicone since it’s nonstick and it’s heat resistance to 446° F or 230°C. This spoon spatula is 11.4 inches with of course the handle is made of wood and the spoon spatula is made of a very, very strong sturdy silicone.You definitely get a lot of uses from this as you can use it as a spatula or a serving spoon. It has a comfortable grip, but it is slippery versus having a spoon spatula that is solid silicone from top to bottom. I like having the little knob on the bottom side, so your spoon spatula does not rest on the counter. It rests on the knob. The gray color is very neutral and we go with mostly any kitchen to decor.This is very versatile that you can use as a spatula, spoon, or small flipper. This was a great value for the money and I think it will hold up for a very long time.

Great for mixing and folding, not so much for scraping

The rubber spatula is one of those tools that's incredibly simple, but working in the kitchen would be much more difficult without it. I have spatulas of different shapes and sizes, and I'm quite fond of them for their ability to mix ingredients and cleanly scrape the sides of containers. This is the first one I've had that's spoon-shaped, and I was curious how it would perform against the others.This spatula comes in a variety of interesting colors (because life is too short to use boring kitchen tools), and the wooden handle makes it look high-end. It's comfortable in the hand, and the silicone part is stiff enough that it holds its shape even when stirring stiff mixtures. It's great at mixing up mayo-based salads (a bean salad is pictured), stirring soups, and folding in the cheese. The silicone material is gentle on nonstick cookware and heat resistant. It was easy to hand wash, and survived a (top-rack) trip through the dishwasher.Where this doesn't perform as well, however, is at scraping bowls to get all of the contents out. The shape and stiffness of the silicone which lets it excel at other tasks really get in the way here. The edges are not flexible enough to mold to the shape of a container, so inevitably some food gets left behind. Based on my experience with other silicone spatulas, it's not likely to soften up with use, so this will likely always be a weakness.This spatula is an OK value for the price, and is pretty good quality. If you primarily want to use it for mixing, stirring, and folding, it's a good choice. But if you need an excellent scraper, this isn't it.

Versatile kitchen utensil

The silicone head is sturdy but still flexible where it counts, so it’s gentle on my pots and pans and doesn’t scratch non-stick cookware at all. That alone makes it worth it for me. I really like how versatile this utensil is. It works as both a spoon and a spatula, which means I can stir, scoop, fold, and even serve with one tool instead of reaching for multiple utensils. I like being able to scoop all of the juices out of the pot or pan too. It handles thick batters and heavier mixtures surprisingly well without bending or losing its shape. It also doesn’t get hot like metal utensils, even when cooking at higher temperatures, which is a huge plus.The built-in rest on the back is a nice touch. It keeps the spoon off the counter and helps reduce mess while cooking. Cleanup is easy too; food doesn’t stick to the silicone, so a quick rinse or hand wash does the job. The wooden handle gives it a more upscale look and feels comfortable to hold, though it can be a little slippery compared to fully silicone handles, especially if your hands are wet. That said, it still feels sturdy and well-made, and the neutral color fits nicely with just about any kitchen decor.

Scratch-free spatula with built-in stand. Solid core, softer edges. Neutral smell.

This spoon-shape spatula is a solid build and looks nice and modern, if a bit too bulky for top elegance. All in all, good deal for smart & functional design at a competitive $10 pricetag.It's an average size at ca. 11½" length x 2⅓" width. The handle looks like solid beech wood and is covered in a clear finish, except inside the 9/16" x 5/16" large hole. That makes quick work of a handwash. There's a silver colored, 3½" x 1¾" S-hook included to hand the spatula from a rail or rack.We like that this silicone smells entirely neutral to us. The core underneath is solid, probably metal, and won't deform. A small rim remains fully flexible and allows the spatula to adjust to the shape of a pot or pan woth no fear of scratching.There's another trick to this which is thw small bulge at the bottom that allows the spatula to rest without the spoon touching the counter. We think it's a practical feature with no downside, although the balance is a bit unsteady. The spatula tips too easily to either side with the slightest inattention.We feel the packaging overdoes it a bit with a plastic wrap inside a cardboard box, but transit damage should be very unlikely as is.
