Ideal cooktop cover. Just what I was looking!
Love this! In the pictures I thought that the textured bit was made into the large piece and there was a separate smaller piece that was only textured. The photos actually show the textured piece on top of the solid larger mat which was a pleasant surprise. The description probably indicates this but I have been looking a stove cover that had any flat section at all so I snatched this up as a Vine product as soon as I saw it.It's exactly what I was looking for. In fact, I wiped them down and took pics before they were even dried, so my photos show a bit of discoloration that doesn't truly represent the product.I tried another mat that was flat but was a weird material. A friend has one that's fully textured and mentioned how hard it was to keep clean. This is perfect and fits my stove ideally. It folds up easily for me to tuck it out of the way while I cook, then I clean off the stove and put it back down.This is exactly what I was looking for and I love the smaller piece that can be used on its own or on top of the large mat. It gives me additional work space in my kitchen without having to worry about scratching my cooktop. I've used it as a drying space, a prep space, for unloading groceries, and I couldn't be happier with it.It didn't have a weird smell or anything when I opened it, and it's so easy to clean. If you're considering a cover like this, I'd definitely recommend trying this one out.

Offers another surface to put things on when not using
We recently purchased a glass top stove top and this cover is sooo helpful!! We have a big family and the kids are always putting things on this stove when it isn't being used and they are pretty rough when setting things on it - this is nice and thick, easy to clean, and covers the top nicely! It's a great spot to put baked goods right out of the oven to use as cooling spot. It is easy to store too. It folds over nicely - I don't have to take the whole thing off to cook - I can just fold it over and use the burner of choice and when my stove cools - I can fold it back over. It came with 2 sizes but I only needed 1 - but the other one fits nicely in my camper stove which was a very nice bonus!!! I highly recommend you get this set for your stove top.

A little thin
These are a little thin and only the small one has ridges. The larger one is smooth. They work well for protecting surfaces though. I use mine for my dryer actually, rather than the stove.

Protects the glass top
These silicone mats are great for protecting your glass stove top. You get two mats, one large to cover your whole stove top and a small one that has ridges, that fits on top of the large one. Both are versatile and can be used anywhere around the house. They don't slide around and are easy to wipe clean or can be placed into the dishwasher. I always worry about placing stuff on the glass top, but now this protects it, and I can use this space.

Why didn't someone think of this before?
What a fabulous idea! I often use one side of my stove for cooking and the other half for prepping. With a conventional glass stovetop cover you have the option of taking the cover off or folding it back on itself when you need to use a burner. With this mat I can leave one piece on for prep and take one off to cook.It's a nice, thick, silicone mat. Texture on one side and smooth on the other. The smooth side is easy to wipe down and clean, but if you get the textured side messy it does require a quick rinse under the faucet, and possibly a dip in the dishwater if you're really messy like me. I believe it's also dishwasher safe but that seems more of a bother than it's worth when it cleans so easily without it.I wouldn't mind a little color instead of the ubiquitous gray, but one step at a time.

LOVE this!! I'm all about easy cleaning and upkeep items and this is fantastic. Fits our stove great without overhang, and keeps the cats (those curious devils) from burning their paws on the hot stove after we've cooked. It's incredibly easy to keep clean, fold up and put away when not in use, and it's unnoticeable so it doesn't stick out like a sore thumb.
