Was tired of washing cloth ones often because my family cooks sometimes. These don’t catch fire, stain or let your hands get burned from sticky wet pot holders. Also use as mats under hot dishes on the table or counter top. Keep one by my microwave, and other cooking appliances. Just wash in sink or wipe when needed.
I put one of each of these on top of buckets in my music classroom when teaching bucket drumming, so probably not used for what they were intended for. They helped keep the sound of the buckets down and were very sturdy. They were the best price for what I was looking for.
Really handy in the kitchen. Using them for trivets, spoon rests and jar openers.
The price is fantastic. However, they are thinner than expected. They are not good potholders for handling hot items from the oven. But they are excellent for stabilizing cutting boards on the counter, opening stubborn jar lids, insulating a hot dish from the table or counter surface, etc. The size works well for the above. One even got put to use under an alarm clock that the cat hates and periodically swats off the nightstand. He has not succeeded since I put one of the trivets under the clock.
We are using these to protect the surfaces of pans that we stack to store. They can then double as a hot pad or mitt. Works great!
Great price and work well definitely worth the money and I would buy again.
