Advertised correctly, the images are true. Highly Recommended.

Never tried French Press Coffee before and want to give it a shot. Simple enough, add a few scoops of coffee, add hot water, let soak for a few minutes, push down plunger and you have fresh coffee. I have to say, while it is lot easier using the old coffee pot, this coffee taste so much better. Well worth the trouble of making a batch. I will be trying to make sun tea in this next. Learned a lesson, do not over fill it or you will make a mess on the counter and floor. The coffee maker is durable, easy to clean and makes the best tasting coffee with our local brand of beans. Overall I am happy.Packaging & Delivery:] The packaging is as expected and arrived without incident. Delivery was fast and as promised.[Summery:] All in all I am very happy. I am comfortable with the 5 stars. I have no problem recommending this or the seller. Here is the review ranking basis that I have adopted:⭐️1 star - I don't recommend it at all, poor quality.⭐️⭐️ 2 stars - I don't recommend it, it has multiple faults, or a very high price.⭐️⭐️⭐️ 3 stars - It's passable, It has some faults but the quality is ok for what it is.⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 4 stars - Product quite acceptable, it does what it promises.⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5 stars - Product that I totally recommend. All of my reviews are my own personal opinion and are completely honest no matter if I receive an item for free or I pay for it. I am an avid Amazon shopper, as well as an Amazon Vine Voice and I personally rely on reading reviews to make all of my buying decisions, so I understand the importance of honest reviews from my peers.

Exactly what you think

I love it. But when I picked it up I immediately thought "this thing is going to break within a couple months." Alas, guess what happened.

Works great

Bought this for when I have guests over that drink coffee (since I don't). I really like the measurements down the side of the glass container so I don't have to use a measuring cup. I also love that even after boiling water in it in the microwave, the handle was still cool enough to handle. The seal, when pressing down, seems tight and it goes down smoothly. The only 2 things I didn't like about it were that the lid at the top just sits there (it would be nice if it snapped on or settled in there tighter) and the fact that the press doesn't press all the way down to the bottom (for when I'm making a small cup of tea or a small cup of coffee). But from what I remember from my last guest, there is no such thing as a small cup of coffee, so that last one wouldn't even matter. These are minor issues, and don't at all take away from the simplicity and functionality of this gadget.

Coffee Snob Approved - again!!

40 bucks is hard to square for something this size, but it proofs out to be worth the expense. I was convinced that I would never give up using the percolator, as I just prefer the flavor-effect in creates. At the same time, I had in the back of my head, just how GOOD pressed coffee is; the lesser volume of coffee has always been my main diss of it. Well, suffice it to say, the electric percolator is now in storage.Glass kitchen items have never been known to fair well around me, I am a klutz extraordinaire, I'm still nervous about this every time I clean it; it is obviously a much stronger glass than I misperceive it as, its already survived a few hard clinks that I thought were to be the death of it, but no - didn't faze it.Pressing coffee retains a certain 'something' that boiling/perking takes away, there's an "earthy" richness that is highly noticeable, I'm pretty sure this is the extra 'goodness' that is pressed flavor juxtaposed to perked. As an extreme coffee drinker - 2 pots daily on average - that volume issue balances out with how fast press can be, especially when using induction to heat the water, steeping the brew in the press is about the same elapsed time as the perk cycle, with the electric percolator, drip makers are the speed most are familiar with, there is no argument it is the fasted method, but speed and flavor don't live together with coffee. For those of us who are all about the taste - press wins every time - hands down.

All glass, coffee is a little gritty

Love the all glass press. I do not like where the handle meets the body of the press causes two dimples on the inside of the press. This causes some blow by of the coffee and gets grittier than usual.

Works Just as Well as Any Other French Press I've Used

This French press has done a great job of producing excellent coffee, really no better or worse than other similar French press products I've used. The Borosilicate glass has held up to a fair amount of jostling so far. (Glass-breakage is why I've replaced most previous presses.)To address some complaints from previous reviews:• There are two concave dimples on the press' inner surface, where the handle attaches. So far, I have not noticed any leakage of grounds when the seal passes these spots. (In my experience, some grounds always make it into my coffee, no matter how careful I am. But maybe I'm doing it wrong.)• The lid doesn't "snap" in place; it just rests on the rim of the press. However, it has always remained in place during use. Even when I pull up on the plunger (something I never do until the press is empty), it remains seated.• Although the plunger does not push the filter disk all the way to the bottom of the press, this has not been a problem. My grounds fill most of that gap. If the filter was able to travel any further down, it would just be squeezing against the grounds, which seems like a surefire way to get even more grit into my coffee.Overall, I am very pleased, and definitely recommend this product.

Only get if you like grainy coffee

The mesh is not fine enough for the grounds of coffee we like. We've had several different French presses in our life, so how to make coffee in one is nothing new. However, we have tried multiple times with this and get grainy coffee regardless of how we grind out coffee. Would not recommend
