Great single serve coffee machine so far. No problems with using grounds, kcups or water leakage. I ensure I do not over fill the water reservoir past max capacity and I appreciate it vice having to fill for every cup like other coffee machines. Have not and probably will never use the over ice feature. Small footprint which is a plus. It was a learning curve on the amount of grounds at first with the generously sized filter. I use 2 scoops (scooper that came with it) to 12 oz water. I watched my sister use it without any problems. I noticed she heats her creamer for about 20 seconds in the microwave then brews the coffee. Coffee is piping hot since adding cold creamer after brewing cools the coffee down. Like the auto shut off and the setting stays set to 12 oz unless changed. Overall, I'm pleased with the ease of use and outcome.

Worked for one month!

Ibought this because it has good reviews. This thing worked fine for one month. One day I tried to use it and it leaked water all over the counter and spewed steam out the top. Almost no water gps into the cup now. It's like it's blocked up or something. Hasn't worked since. Garbage. I should have just bought a Kurig instead.

Dribbles out water first before coffee in "capsule" (k-cup) mode, otherwsie dependable, minor flaws

4 stars. I want to love this coffee maker, I really do, but after a week or so of using it there are a couple things that frustrate me. Not HUGE issues, but enough that I can't rightly give it a 5 star rating.First, when brewing a "capsule", as it calls them (the rest of us might refer to them as K-cups), it always seems to dribble out an ounce or so of plain water first. Every time. It got to where I knew it would happen so I'd stick another cup under it to catch the water first, then put my actual cup there to catch the coffee. Why? Not sure. I don't want my coffee diluted. I use the 6oz setting because I want it as strong as possible, and it still seems set up to dilute it. That deducts 1/4 star. The other minor issue deducting 1/4 star is the hinge on the brew basket isn't constructed to make it easy to pop the handle down to pierce a K-up ("capsule") like many single cup brewers are. This one you have to actually push it down with a little force, since the hinge isn't engineered to help you, if that makes sense. It's not *hard* to do, don't get me wrong, but it's lacking in a little engineering based on other similar brewers I've used. Now we're down to 4.5 stars. But there's another 1/2-star deduction coming....But first, a couple positives...Where it shines is the cup size flexibility. from 6 oz. all the way up to 24 oz! Not everyone wants a small, potent cup like I do, so this has you covered. Also the ability and the button for for an ice brew is a great touch you don't see too often on single cup brewers. And it doesn't have any "you must do it in THIS ORDER" nonsense like the Keurig single cup brewer I also own (what a pain that thing is!). With this, you simply add water, turn it on, and go. And it brews. Simple, and that's how it should be.Back to what drops it to 4 stars...An oddity, to me, is that it has a physical on/off switch (instead of a button), that rocks to On and rocks back to Off, on the left side at the bottom towards the back. And the brew selector & cup sizes buttons are on the opposite side, on the right side bottom toward the back. So you cannot really place this on your counter with anything close to either side of the brewer. I guess I do not understand why all the buttons cannot be in one location? Maybe nobody else would care about this. But if you have your k-cup holder or your mug rack, or whatever, snug up to one or both sides of this, well you're out of luck.I likely wouldn't buy a second one of these, but I am grateful that I have it, since as mentioned despite these couple minor complaints it does work nicely and dependably.

Maxine failed after 1 1/2 months. BEWARE

The coffee machine worked very good for 1 1/2 months. Then it didn’t start making coffee so I had to press the button again/then it made only 1/2 cup and then it started leaking. I threw it out because I had just thrown out the box.I won’t buy these types again—ONLY USE PERCOLATORS! They are very reliable.
