These cotton linen placemats are gorgeous! The scalloped edges and embroidery detail make the table look so elegant and classy. The navy blue color is rich and stands out beautifully. These SK Studio cotton linen placemats are even prettier in person! The scalloped edges and embroidery give them such an elegant touch, and the double-layered design makes them feel sturdy and high-quality. The blue color is vibrant but classy, and it really brightens up my dining table without being overwhelming.I also love that they’re washable and easy to care for—after a family dinner, I tossed them in the wash and they held their shape and color beautifully. They’re the perfect size at 15x15, big enough to frame plates and cutlery without taking up too much space.Great for daily use, but they also look upscale enough for special occasions or when hosting guests. I’ve already gotten compliments on them, and I’m so glad I purchased this set. Highly recommend for anyone wanting to add a touch of style and quality to their dining area!
This item came in quickly. The color (green) is as depicted on the website. I think I would have preferred them if the scallop trim was ivory. But that's personal preference. These placemats are as described. I placed a 10 1/2-inch dinner plate on one see how it would appear. It fit with room to spare for the intricacies of the scallops to be well visible. These placemats are delicate, and one will have to take care to follow (exactly) the advice in their description. Although, they are quite attractive, I do not see them holding up to everyday use/wear. I'll be saving mine to use for special meals/events. Since these usually involve more than four settings, I'll probably order another set. The price point is good for the quality, amount and design. And the (green) color can be used through all seasons of the year. I'm looking forward to using them in the upcoming holiday season and in fact, already have a dinner event planned. That's why I'll need to get more! ;) I am pleased with this order.
These placemats are at a level of quality that I suppose is commensurate with the price, but not high enough quality that I would get these if I saw them at a store. I chose the set of 6 placemats in navy blue, and they do look like the product image in person. The size is great for 12” dinner plates because you can see the border of the placemat around the plates. The embroidered details are a nice contrast with the navy blue. That said, the fabric is SO thin that you can basically see right through them if you hold them up to the light. These aren’t protecting your table from anything - liquids go right through them. If there are spills, you have to clean both the placemats AND your table. They also require ironing if washed because they are linen and wrinkle easily (at least they can be easily washed in a washing machine). I suppose these placemats are largely just decorative and have very little function of protecting your table. I wanted something that could do both, and these aren’t it. Ultimately, I think these could be worth getting if you know what you’re getting into with these: cute pieces of decorative fabric you can put on your table. Just don’t expect much actual protection from them.
These placemats are very well made. I love the scalloped edges, and the color is a perfect tan / beige that will match everything. They are easy to wipe off and clean. Only reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 is because of the size. I just wish they were about 1.5 to 2 inches bigger around. Overall, I am happy with them and think they are well worth the price.
