It came to me very sharp and I have sliced several pounds of cooked meat with it so far and it lets me slice very thin and clean slices! These knives are not fancy knives made of exotic metals if that is what you are looking for, but they are good, well built everyday use knives. Rough Sharpening

Very disappointed, the knife edge was uneven and looked like it had been sharpened with an angle grinder. I had purchased the 10” breaking knife and the sharpness and quality of that was outstanding. I returned my purchase.
