This works great for smaller cups of tea. If you want to make larger cups of tea, you have to steep multiple batches which lets the first one or two cool. Plan for smaller cups. Also, the writing on the handle is in Japanese, but it's easy to figure out that it's Open/Close. The metal ball rolls in and out of the opening easily and just works great. The handle is plastic and has a wanna-be wood look to it that doesn't fool anyone. It's not the best looking handle, but it works.Overall, it makes a great cup of tea so functionally, it's great. I just wish the handle looked a tad better.

This thing is like magic!
Really cool and functionally modern design. I loved being able to just load my tea. Steep my tea. Serve my tea with a single pot. No need for filter or pods or dohickies that sit on your mug that you fill with loose leaf. Put your favorite tea in to top with some water. Steep it. Flick the magic switch and drop the concentrate into your water to make the perfect strength of tea. My brother loves it for spiced chai

Look great, easy to use, genius design
This is just so ingenious! It holds your loose-leaf tea perfectly so it can steep for as long as you want, and then you just push the little thing on the handle and it raises the little drain ball so your tea can drain out. It took me a minute to figure out how it worked and what that little switch thing did and how, but it is just genius in how it is designed! Also, because it's made from borosilicate glass, it shouldn't shatter at high temps either. I love this tea pot!

Amazing teapot with incredibly unique strainer
This is a very nicely made teapot with very sturdy glass and a firm fitting lid, but the differentiation is the incredibly unique strainer. It holds the tea and the initially poured hot water in the strainer without letting it flow into the chamber, letting it steep to really pull the flavor from the tea leaves. Then you just pull on the trigger on the handle and it opens a valve to let the t drain into the chamber. But it is like a magic trick It is somehow done magnetically and there is no physical connection between the trigger on the handle and the valve on the strainer. I wouldn't believe it would have worked until I sought myself. And amazing device. It has a faux wood grain appearance to the plastic handle which I could do without but that's just a small item and it's not too distracting. Just an amazing teapot
