Glad I got them but thinner than expected

I got this set of disposable aluminum for storing leftovers after large family holidays where there are lots of side dishes or for sending home extras with my kids after they visit, so I don't have to worry about getting my dishes back!I like the clear lids so you can see what is inside. I'm not sure if these are designed to cook in, but they are thinner than I expected, so I wouldn't personally choose to use them for that. The size is interesting because it's somewhere between holding a meal for 1 or maybe 2 people. But since I'm not using them to hold a specific amount of food, the exact size doesn't matter.The current price is $14.99 for 50 containers (which comes out to 30 cents each). I haven't price-shopped these, but that's a fair enough price to make them a good buy. For me, they represent a way for me to love my 21-year-old son and his friends when they come to visit by sending them home with leftovers … one more meal at home that they don't have to cook.Based on my experience, I would recommend these for using in the way I'm using them. If you want to cook in them, I would probably buy ones that say "heavy duty" or something on them.

I don’t usually leave long reviews, but I am so glad I found these aluminum containers with clear lids. I originally purchased them for meal prep because when I’m in school and working a lot, I like to cook large batches of food and freeze portions that are easy to reheat. The pans are sturdy, not flimsy at all, and the clear plastic lids fit securely without cracking like cheaper ones. I love being able to see the food inside, whether it’s stored in the fridge, freezer, or being handed to someone.Unexpectedly, I quickly found another important use for them. I often feed people in my neighborhood who are experiencing homelessness. The same day these arrived, someone knocked on my door asking for food. I was able to heat up roasted chicken, beans, greens, and cornbread, and everything fit beautifully in one container. The clear lid let him see the meal, and it stayed hot while he found a place to sit and eat. That meant a lot to me and I know he was happy.The next morning, I used another container to bring homemade potato pancakes to my elderly neighbor, who loved them. These containers make it easy to share food in a way that feels clean, thoughtful, and respectful.The containers are deep enough to hold bone-in foods, hearty meals, and generous portions. I also like that this brand offers different lid styles-plastic lids for taller meals and paper lids for flatter dishes like pasta or lasagna.With a freeze coming to New Orleans, I plan to cook in bulk with some food for my freezer and some to give away to the community. Excellent Value Aluminum Pans with Lids – Strong, Versatile, and Very Useful

This 50 pack of small aluminum pans with lids is an excellent deal at $16.99 considering both the quality and the quantity you receive. Each pan measures 6 x 8.5 x 2 inches and is designed as a 2.25 pound portion control pan making them ideal for holding generous portions of food such as leftovers, casseroles, pastas, meats and prepared meals. They’re perfect for meal prep, takeout, food gifting or sending meals to family and friends.The aluminum pans themselves are sturdy and hold their shape well, even when filled. They are oven safe, freezer safe and reheating safe (oven only) which makes them extremely versatile. I’ve had no issues using them for cooking, storing or reheating food. They’re also great for organizing portions ahead of time if you’re doing batch cooking.Each pan comes with a matching lid that is cardboard on one side with an aluminum coating on the other. This design helps retain heat or cold while also reinforcing the shape of the pan. The lids do not snap on, instead the lip of the aluminum pan folds over the edge of the lid to secure it. Because of this they are not completely spill proof so I recommend keeping them flat and on a sturdy surface especially during transport. As long as you’re mindful of that, they work very well.These pans are strong, durable and disposable which makes cleanup easy while still feeling reliable during use. I find them extremely handy to keep stocked in the kitchen for everyday meals, events, or food prep needs.Overall, I’m very impressed with the quality, practicality and value of this product and I would definitely recommend these aluminum pans to anyone looking for reliable portion control containers.
