Controlling from n App is next level!!!

I have always liked Electric kettle and this one hit the mark. I read a bunch of the reviews stating the wifi control doesn't wok, but I was connected instantly. You have to be connected to your wifi before adding on the app. I love the flexibility of being able to control in 1 degree increments. I can be in the living room and start the kettle that's all the way on the other side of the house with ease, and place it in warming mode with no difficulties. Vs other high end kettles, I found a winner!!!

Not worth the price. Control settings are abysmal.

Two stars for doing what it claims to do - heating the water to set temp. Zero starts for everything else. It looks nice but is super plastic-y and light when you actually hold it. When not filled with water, the kettle doesn't sit on the base solidly but wobbles. The base especially feels light and super cheap. The controls are even worse. No settings are retained, and the programming wheel and two function buttons are a nightmare to figure out. The app doesn't let you actually punch in a number, but you have to move a slider bar, which is never accurate and has to be overextended by one digit in order to set the temp correctly. Highway robbery at the price theyre charging for this kettle. Avoid!

Very handy and attractive!

This kitchen tool is incredible and almost perfect...almost. As the picture will show, it is a very attractive addition to any kitchen. and it had a cool digital interface that can operate well with, or without, the help of your smartphone. There is a very nice interface (also pictured above) but it does require connecting to a third party smarthome app. The app doesn't cost anything but the customer may not want to link into an entire home network just to control a tea kettle. but, as I said, the interface is very cool and it offers quite a few control options (see photo). Not to mention the fact that there is a cool animation while the kettle is heating and the temp (both current and desired outcome) is displayed as the kettle heats so you can wander into the other room while it is heating.I filled the kettle to the max line with cold tap water (it holds 3.5 cups at maximum) and timed the kettle from a base temp of 77 degrees all the way to boiling. This, in my humble opinion, is where the kettle first stumbled. It took five minutes to reach boiling...and it never quite reached boiling. As we all remember from science class, boiling is 212 degrees Fahrenheit but the water in the kettle never got above 208. Now to be fair, no one drinks tea or coffee at any higher than 195 (and the app temp display turned red when it reached 194) but I waited to see how long it would take the kettle to reach 212...it never did. It did reach 208 at three and a half minutes, which is plenty hot for any beverage, but the kettle promised me a rolling boil and , dagnabbit, I wanted one.Now if you are using the water in the kettle for pour-over coffee, which is why it has the long slender neck, then 3.5 cups (28 oz) is only going to buy you two full mugs of Joe and four 6 oz cups of tea so I would be happier if it were twice the size. Also, I timed my Breville electric water kettle with 28 ounces of cold water and it reached a rolling boil at the two minute mark.In the final analysis, this kettle is attractive, functional, and has a VERY cool interface for your smartphone or tablet but it has its shortcomings. If you are a pour-over coffee connoisseur then I can highly recommend this gadget...but if you only use your electric kettle for the occasional cup of tea or to boil water for other reasons...stick with more established brands.
