Not worth the money spent. You have to keep the base close by and even then the meat probe still disconnects from the base. If I had to move it any closer, the probe base would be inside the grill right next to the meat that the probe is in. I do like the app functionality when the probe works.

I would maybe seek a different brand
I recently bought these probes and while I like the design there are several things that I don’t really like number one the probes aren’t marked with indicators on the probe like on the carrying and charging box,so once you put the probes in several pieces of meat you better remember which probe is which ,secondly they are kind of a pain to get in and out of the charging box ..outside of these two things they appear pretty well made
