It is such a great little gadget, it cuts top of hard-boiled egg perfectly. It brings two cups and two little spoons as well. This is for a friend. I've had mine for three years, and love it. It's easy to wash too!

I love soft boiled eggs in the morning, so I bought these to facilitate getting that yummy goodness into my belly.The cups are a bit thin, but they are what I would expect for the price. They are also on the large size so work best with extra large eggs. The little spoons are just the right size to dig into the egg and get at the good stuff without cracking the shell.The only reason this got 4 stars out of 5 is because the device thats included to crack the eggs doesn't work very well. It ends up getting stuck on the egg and then cracks the entire shell....I end up with a bit of a mess on my plate.

This set seemed great. I love the cracker itself, but egg shells get stuck in the cup for some reason. When i say they get stuck, I mean they get permanently stuck. You cant even get them out with a knife easily. I ended up throwing one cup away after the 3rd egg I put in it got so stuck, I could not even peel it out with a knife - then a shell got stuck in the 2nd cup shortly after.I am not a scientist, but I think it must have something to do with the egg being very hot, and then going into the steel cup. Somehow the egg shell completely seals itself to the metal cup. You cant get it unsealed with nails.. knives etc. So i ended up throwing both egg cups away after shells were permanently sealed to them. I still use the cracker and spoons though - they are great.OVERALL - I ended up buying a porcelain egg holder with a little more room so the shell cant get stuck and I havent encountered the issue since then. This set is great in theory and maybe it is just me? but i think it is weird it happened with both cups - relatively fast.
I am a novice egg cup user and love it! My British friends introduced these to me and curious why Americans don’t use egg cups. They also ask why we warm up our water for tea in the microwave (I honestly didn’t know people actually did that) but I digress.These cups are perfect to dip stripes of toast into a nice, warm runny yolk of a soft boiled egg with the shell on of course. You place the handle over the egg, pull up on the ball creating a suction to that top portion of the egg and then drop the ball which creates a perfect hole in your shell on soft boiled egg! The cups always hold onto that shell pretty well so you get ever last bit of egg. The little spoons are the perfect size to fit into the cup.If you are going to wash them in the dishwasher, make sure they are on the top rack.
The little egg cups are fine. The cracker is useless in my experience have tried it multiple times and have never achieved the nice crack and opening as advertised. If you need to do it multiple times on an egg, the shell fractures into small shards.
