I admire these placemats every time I sit down to eat. The description says they are "rustic," but they look elegant enough to use for fancy dinners. The material looks like linen and there are 20 different color options. I wanted blue and had four shades of blue to choose from. They wash nicely in a regular load of laundry, but once washed, they lose the starched effect -- though they still look as good as new. The price is good, and they can be ordered in 4- 6- 8- and 12-piece sets.

These are pretty nice. Sturdier than I might have thought. Have not washed them in a machine yet -- only spotted them for stains -- but they dried well and kept their shape. I bought the aqua blue and deep pink ones, and set the table with them mixed together. Very pretty. Work for everyday meals and special occasions.
