At 14" x 19", they’re generously sized to protect the table during meals.They arrive neatly folded in a slim box, making them perfect for gifting. Beautifully crafted artisan linen placements!

I am really impressed with the quality of these placemats. They are very well made. The stitching is absolutely perfect. I love the linen look and feel, especially in the color I chose. Although the color does say black and white, these are actually closer to a gray color, but this is linen, so there will be some color variations. They are pretty easy to clean, with very good instructions. Linen is a material that you can either leave without ironing once you wash and dry, to have a more natural look to it, or you can iron for a crisp, more formal look. They are lightweight and will drape without ironing. These placemats can be used both in formal settings and in casual everyday dining. While some people might flake on the price, I think that because these are made by artisans who care deeply about the products they are making and they put a lot of effort into ensuring that they will last for years to come, I don't think you can beat the price. There are 4 different color options available. I really appreciate the effort this company made in the presentation of these placemats, including the booklet with care instructions, how to measure for other table linens, and how to create place settings for different events. These would make a lovely wedding gift for any couple. Recommend as gifts or to buy for yourself!

Beautiful linen, not low maintenance

These are quite lovely linen placemats. The white and natural stripe is subtle and clean-looking—perfect for layering place settings without overwhelming the table. I have several sets of dinnerware that are bursting with color and these are a nice offset. The linen is excellent quality—sourced in Europe and assembled in India—and while it is on the thinner side, it still has that classic linen texture and drape.They come beautifully packaged, which makes them feel gift-worthy, but be prepared to get out the iron—linen creases are inevitable. I’ve been machine washing them on a delicate cycle with no issues, but do not put them in the dryer. They will shrink. Air drying is the only way to go.These are elegant, simple, and table settings feel warm with these mats. The natural linen is wonderful as long as you don’t mind a little ironing!

Doesnt wash well

So I realize the instructions say to dry flat. But, when you miss pulling one out and it gets in the dryer you can kiss it goodbye. I dry on low heat, but it shrinks so bad that a kid could use it as a Barbie picnic blanket!

Beautiful, linen, lightweight placemats

These placemats are beautiful, made of linen with a very European vibe, like antique French linens. Because they are linen, I know they will wear well and wash beautifully. However, they are on the thin side. If you want heavy, substantial placemats, these are probably not the ones for you. Also, once washed, they can be machine dried, but you will need to iron them to get them back to their original size and shape. I love how they look, so I am fine with this. They are very well priced for the quality.
