Thin, not placemats, and not worth the expense!

I had made a previous purchase of red striped placemats for Christmas. I assumed the quality, material and thickness of the pink striped placemats would be the same. They are not! These placemats are NOT placemats. They are even thinner than cloth napkins!! I even went back amd double-checked my order to verify I had indeed ordered placemats and not napkins!! As other reviewers stated, you would need to iron these, and forget about washing them, they’d be a crumpled mess! Very disappointed!!

A bit pricy, but they are nice.

The first thing that caught my attention is just how soft these are. I definitely didn't expect that and it was a very pleasant surprise!Not quite as pleasant a surprise is how *thin* they are. The fabric is very very thin. It'll still protect the table and it still does the job of looking pretty, but was just a touch disappointed in how thin they turned out to be.Otherwise they are fantastic. The colors are a washed out, kind of beachy look which contrasts gorgeously with the golden cloth napkins I found. I could definitely see doing a whole washed-out / beachy vibe setting / look though too. These will be very versatile!
