Heat resistant up to 500f, absolutely a game changer!

These work great! What i love is they are usable at higher temperatures than other slings. The color is my favorite and is as pictured. I prefer the 4 handles over 2 on other slings. Sourdough Silicone Bread Sling for Dutch Oven - Food-Grade Non-Stick Dough Transfer Tool

I bought two of these. They are very well made and wash up easily—occasionally I have to use a nylon scrubby. They are easy to use and are a good size. I store them in my Dutch ovens. I don’t want my silicone pie sheets to get creased so I store them rolled up on rolling pins and secured using the slap brackets. I was using parchment paper to hold my sourdough dough for baking. I have two enameled Dutch ovens to bake bread. Inside, the Dutch ovens I have one each of a stainless steel bowl that hold the baking dough—the bowls create a nice support and shape for the bread; and in the bottom, under the bowls, are one each of silicone canning trivets that prevent the bowls from touching the heated bottoms of the Dutch ovens. This keeps the bread bottoms and sides from getting too dark when baking. I tried using the slings inside the bowls with the bread dough instead of using the paper, but because the bowls are a smaller diameter than the Dutch ovens, the slings buckle slightly causing the bread to come out slightly mis-shaped. So, I now use the slings between the trivets and the outside of the stainless bowls to help safely lift the hot bowls and bread out of the hot Dutch ovens. I continue to use parchment paper for inside the bowls with the dough.

Jennalynn silicone bread sling

I loved how it was easy to use. So easy to clean and easy to store. I love that it came with a slap band to secure it as it could be stored anywhere in your kitchen and take up little to no space. It just made the whole process much easier. I can’t imagine making bread with parchment paper or a two hand sling. I feel like it’s perfect for bread making. It can stand heat up to 500 degrees. Nothing stuck, burned, or left any marks or mess. It’s good quality and worth getting for your bread making days.

Good Product But Doesn't Eliminate Greasing the Dutch Oven

This is a very good product but it comes with one caveat - this does not substitute for lightly greasing your dutch over or cooking vessel. The dough will stick to the dutch oven between the four silicone "arms" and after baking the bread will be extremely difficult to remove. Also, when transferring the dough you have to be quick because it could "ooze" between the silicone arms if it had a high hydration ratio.

It's better than parchment paper !!!

I bake sourdough bread all the time and the parchment paper would often stick and I didn't like it, and how lucky I was to find this silicone liner!!!! It washes perfectly after each use! The bread does not stick to the pan and it is very convenient that there are handles to hold your bread. It can also be easily folded and secured with a convenient hoop
