I almost gave up on my sourdough journey
I almost gave up on sourdough after struggling for 2 months with other types of warmers not working properly. I thought it was me not doing things right. However, I can't say enough good things about this warmer. It's accurate within 1 degree, easy to use, easy controls, great value for the money, small footprint on the counter, and it saved my sanity! I hope it lasts a long time, because this machine is the best yet! Highly rated and definitely recommended.

My wife says this is her favorite gift she's ever gotten from me. It heats from the bottom so if we turn it up too much the bottom of the starter warms a little too much, but hasn't hurt the starter

I almost gave up!
My sour dough starts were not working no matter what I tried. I thought my house was a nice warm temperature especially in the kitchen but no matter what I tried it wasn’t working. Buying this was my last resort and I was going to give up if it didn’t work. It did the trick! And my starter really took off. I think the regulation of the constant temperature is what made it work.

Looks like a useful addition to a bread-maker's kitchen.
Both my wife and I like to make bread. However, only my dear spouse has been brave enough to try and make sourdough. She has tried to create a starter (using various recipes), but has yet to have any measure of success. I saw this warmer, in the Vine program listings, had thought it would help her out.Unfortunately, the timing to try this device out is not on our side. We are still trying to find items after our recent move, so the bread baking stuff is still amongst the piles of moving boxes. So I will limit my comments to what we see from the box.There is a lot of plastic here, and the build quality could (possibly) be better as it is very light-weight. At first glance it just reminds me of a baby-bottle warmer than anything else. That said, it looks like it will allow bakers to have more precise control over temperatures. The screen is clear and easy to read too. You get a decent set of instructions with the warming unit as well. My spouse looks forward to giving this a try once we truly get settled into our new place. In the meantime, this product looks like it is worth consideration (and the price seems fair for the product).
