Works fantastic, looks just as great as it works. I use it to keep my starter warm and to proof my bread faster, the timer helps me keep track of proofing time. Very well made and fits great in my kitchen.

I received this 2&1 Sourdough warmer and used it for the first time. It proofed my starter to then to use in my dough. And then proofed my dough. It helped to move that process along. The bowl I used was somewhat heavy so had to increase the heating element but worked well . Quality is nice for it being light weight. Easy to read and operate.
The best buy! It worked the second I plugged it in! Super easy to understand, didn't need to look at instructions. I set it at 73° but it changed it's temp to adjust to how my house's temp is. My starter has finally activated and has more than doubled in size because of this warmer. Thankful! I would buy again if needed.
Keeps my sourdough starter at a constant, pre-set temp so I can time its ripeness and readiness for levain. It also lets me control the levain growth, regardless of how cold my house gets. No more fighting over the house thermostat with the family. I don’t bake without it, now. It’s my essential go-to.I have a large dough-keeper box so I don’t use it for that, although I suspect it would also work great for proofing. The warming plate is easily large enough for a good sized 2-loaf bowl.I also bought the glass dome, which I consider essential, although a thick towel would probably work. I like to be able to see what’s going on at a glance. On really cold days in my house I throw a tea towel over the entire setup. It’s easy to set the temp and time. It’s the perfect size to push to the back of my counter. It appears quite durable.I kept the foam form the dome was shipped in and use the form for dome storage and transport out of my pantry. (no accidental dropping and breaking.)Make sourdough? You want this one!! I LOVE mine.
TL:DR This is awesome. If you make sourdough you need it!!I just got it and I LOVE it. I received the SourKeeper 2-in-1 Soudough Starter & Dough Warmer Pro this morning. It is 17°F outside. I brought it right in, ripped the package open, and plugged it in. Even as cold as it was, it heated right up. I fed Albus Dumbledough, inserted the probe, and placed him on the warmer. In reading the enclosed information, I set the temperature to 85. Surprisingly quickly, the starter temperature was reading 87. I checked it with my regular thermometer and it was spot on. I decreased the temperature by five and waited. Long story short, I ended up setting the warmer to 70 to maintain Albus at 77. I use a mason pint and a half jar and Albus was roughly 75 grams. Make sure you watch your temperature and play around with it to get it where you want. Over about 85°F your starter will start to get acidic and at 120°F will start to die. Albus grew beautifully and was at full peak and starting to fall at about seven hours. With as cold as it is, without the warmer, it would have been two and a half times that long to reach peak.As you can see from the photos, two pint and a half jars just fit on the warmer. The bowl is 4.8 quarts and a larger one would fit easily. The instructions were almost non-existent. Again, as you can see from the photos, there is a chart which is a good starting point for setting the temperature. For me, it ran way higher than the chart said. Aside from telling you where the buttons were, there are not instructions. It's not hard to figure out but I'm sure some people might struggle. If you do not have the probe inserted, the readout just makes a rotating zero constantly. Not an issue but I feel should be stated. The view of the readouts are not hindered in any way by the bowl like so many scales which is great.I really feel this will up not just my sourdough but bread-making game to a whole new level. Keeping a consistent temperature will let you time how long proofing takes for recipes you use often and how long until your starter will be ready. My stove has a bread proofing function but at 95°F, is too warm for sourdough. Also, it is a large box to heat for a small bowl of dough if making commercially yeasted breads. That is energy wasted. With some stoves, it will also warm your home as well. This warmer solves those problems.I will be telling everyone who makes bread they need one of these! If something changes, I will adjust my review. Judging by the information that came with this warmer, I feel their customer service will be top notch and address any issues that I might come across later down the line.Just get it!
Sorta works. My bread dough actually rose better in the oven with the light on.
I have always had issues with keeping the temperature warm enough for my starter. Tried different places in the kitchen and even in the oven. Nothing really worked besides using my regular heating pad & wrapping the jar in a towel, which isn’t realistic! So I decided to try a warmer and will never go back! It is easy to use and has a 24hr timer. I even use it for bulk fermentation process! It’s small so it easily fits on the counter. You are able to adjust temp based off of your house temp and comes with a chart to help know what temp based off of bowl too! Love this and have been able to make multiple loaves with a NOW happy strong starter!
