Extremely happy with my purchase!

I purchased four of these pastry scrapers to give as gifts to friends. I chose this product over others in the same category because it seemed like the scraper was sturdily made, had a ruler on the edge of the scraper, and included a bonus bowl scraper with handy measurement conversion charts on the front. My shipment was prompt and I was very impressed by the packaging of the products. I opened one of them and found the quality to be excellent. The pastry scraper is even heavier and sturdier than I had imagined, and the bowl scraper is of ample size and weight, as well. I also received a follow-up email message from the manufacturer who was concerned that my customer experience fully met my expectations and offering assistance if anything had gone wrong with my shipment and/or the products that I had received. He also offered a guarantee if anything ever went wrong with any of the scrapers. I think this product is well worth the price, is extremely functional, and seems like it would be an excellent addition to those go-to tools we all use in the kitchen. I couldn't be happier with my purchase of these scrapers and am thinking about keeping one of them for myself!

Bought this set for my granddaughter along with a terrific pastry mat. She loves them both.Love the thoughtful and very useful touches like the measurements and quantities actually on the tools. A great large scraper, but...

This turned out to be larger -- and much more dull -- than what I'd hoped for. My last dough cutter really had some edge to it (it was sharp!) but it was smaller. I like this for scraping, for measuring, and the bowl scraper bonus really is a bonus. But this thing isn't sharp enough to cut much of anything (except maybe a soft cake) and the grip is a bit cheap. Xo is what I should've purchased for cutting/ chopping. However, many other uses for this thing.

Awesome dough scraper. Love the bonus bowl scraper.

My husband enjoys making bread and had problems when working with wetter doughs such as baguettes or rolls. They were extremely sticky and the combination of kneading plus repeatedly removing it from his fingers meant it often became overworked. The solution was a dough scraper. It allows for every last bit to be lifted from the counter, and if you oil the scraper very little dough sticks to it. The result was less effort, quicker kneading times, less mess and better bread!I chose this scraper over others because of the handle. Some cheaper versions are just flat with no handle at all, which would end up making your hand sore. Others had a handle made of simply rolling the material down. Better than nothing, but I know from having to clean up chewing gum-like dough that any that got caught in the roll would be nearly impossible to remove. So I went with this one which had an actual handle made of a different material than the blade.I wasn't looking for a bowl scraper, but that it came bonus with this implement was an unexpected gift. It is covered in silicone, making it flexible on the sides so you can really get every last bit out. The weight and volume conversions printed on it are handy to have. My husband mentioned that this bowl scraper has made removing sticky dough from his proving bowls to be less of a headache. I've certainly noticed that washing out the bowls afterwards is much, much easier compared to when they were dotted in glutinous clumps.I haven't used this dough scraper to cut anything other than dough or pastry yet, but the seller (Spring Chef) sent an email with a free usage guide and it suggests using it to cut fruits, nuts, anything reasonably soft. I appreciate that they made an effort to give me more ways to use their device, without my having to ask. Besides that, Spring Chef is a small company who welcomes us to write to them with questions, issues, suggestions, or feedback. I always like when a small company wants to ensure their buyers' happiness and invites opportunities to improve their products.The only tiny complaint I have with this dough scraper is that some dough does get caught in the seam between the blade and the handle. It's not very much as the space is so small. It's hard to remove (once again, due to the gummy consistency of dough) even with a brush, but this minor annoyance is not enough to reduce my rating from a perfect 5 stars.If you're serious about baking, whether you like making breads, pies, or pastries, I would definitely recommend this set! It will be a game-changer and you'll wonder how you ever baked without it.
