I have been using the SHPii 304 stainless steel square colander set for several months now and am still very pleased with the durability and workmanship of the materials used - the set is sturdy, the PE lid fits tightly and the clever design allows for both washing, draining and storing food items in a single container!The mesh strainer fits seamlessly into the basin, it is so easy to prep produce, drain tofu, wash vegetables, and just keep foods from getting soggy in the fridge. The square shape saves lots of space in the refrigerator and its size allows for small to medium tasks, I expect the colander set to last for a very long time, its definitely built for food prep, refrigerator storage, picnics, and everyday kitchen use and while its priced around $24, it remains a good value.

I purchased one. Quality is top notch, so I bought a whole set. Price tupperware type products then look at the price again. Perfect for leftovers. Can be used with or without the drainage screen, keeps things from getting "fridge-soggy" with condensation. It looks to last for decades, The lids are super sturdy but are the only thing I am worried about aging.

Quality Square Colander Set

I got this stainless steel square colander set for collecting and washing eggs. With our backyard chickens, we get about seven eggs a day on average. This colander set is nice because I can take it out and use it to collect the eggs, and then after I bring them in, I can wash them in the same system. It has been very convenient. The size is small, seven and a half inches, but perfect for my needs. Larger culinary projects may not work out as well. Regarding the lid, I do not use it, but have put it on and taken note that it fits snug. I may eventually need it, but for eggs, it is unnecessary.Pros: Made of quality material and built to last.Cons: It is expensive and may be cost-prohibitive for one-time-use projects.Overall, this is a quality set and will fit the needs as long as it is a small project. It is not very big, but I am happy with the size for my purposes. I do like the materials and craftsmanship: It feels like it is built to last. If you are looking for something that is used once and then discarded, I would recommend a different product, but if you need a Square Colander Set that will last a long time, this one is for you. Just take note of the size, as it is very small.

Small but good quality

This 304 stainless steel strainer/colander container with lid is a great idea for any item that you might want to be able to drain. I think the possibilities are endless: marinated meats, coleslaw that have too much liquid, fruits that let off liquid, etc.I really like the feel of the container and strainer. They are not flimsy but feel thicker and of good quality. The cleanup is easy as these can go in the dishwasher. The size is a little on the small side, but decent in size. Unfortunately, the lid is not leak proof, so don't tilt this sideways. It might seem expensive but this grade of steel is the highest and best food grade steel for your kitchen. It will not leech metals into your food.
