Elegant Scoop with Clear Markings, Now My Ice Scoop!
This stainless-steel scoop is a great find! It looks sleek, feels well made, and the handle is surprisingly comfortable to grip. I expected it to be heavier, but the lighter weight actually makes it easier to use. The curved design adds a touch of elegance, and the measurement markings inside are clear and easy to read. At first glance, the markings look black, but that's just the shadows cast from the engraving. It's a neat visual effect that actually makes them easier to spot.I did run into a bit of a puzzle when testing the accuracy. The back of the scoop isn't marked, so it's hard to know where to level the contents. I scooped some cat food naturally and it looked like 1/4 cup, but when I transferred it to a measuring cup it was 1/2 cup. I poured it back into the scoop and flattened it until it matched the 1/2 cup line, but that left the back looking quite low. If I were using this for precise pet food portions, I'd probably marl the back edge with a permanent marker to help line things up.However, I'm not using it for pet food at all! I needed a scoop for the ice maker bucket in my freezer, and this fits the bill perfectly. I'd been using a plastic tumbler from a set, and now I get my tumbler back and have a much nicer looking scoop to boot. It fits beautifully in the ice bin (see photo), and I've only hand washed it so far to avoid any chance of scratching. Bonus: it's dishwasher safe if you're not as cautious as I am.Each photo I included shows the same amount of food to illustrate the measurement difference. It's a stylish, versatile tool that's found its purpose in my kitchen. I wouldn't hesitate to use it at a party either. It looks polished enough to sit in a bucket or cooler of ice.

Fancy looking scooper with many uses.
I use this scoop for my dogs, and it’s been really helpful. One of them is on a special diet and needs accurate portions. There’s words and number engravings with lines that gives measurements up to a cup. This does measure accurately which takes the guesswork out of measuring Livvy’s food. I didn’t realize I was overfeeding her before, but this makes measuring simple and consistent. Since using it, she’s lost weight and is healthier.The scooper is a nice size and comfortable to handle. The handle is a smooth curvy shape that fits right in your hand. It’s lighter than it looks which makes it dive right in to the dog food, ice, or whatever else you decide to use it for. The flat bottom is convenient for when I set it down. That keeps it from swaying side to side and spilling whatever’s in it. Seems to be durable and well-made out of shiny stainless steel. It has sleek curves and lines that give it a fancy look. It looks a lot nicer and is more functional than your average scooper. At the present price point, I thinks it’s a good value. I can easily recommend it.

Nice stainless scoop — hard to know how to level food portions

I got it specifically because I just learned that my cat is allergic to plastic. So I’m eliminating all sources of plastic around my cat’s care and feeding. Now I can scoop her dry food and not worry about plastic. For that purpose this is great. It’s got a nice solid handle and a good shape for scooping up food to transfer to her stainless dish.I specifically chose this scoop because it has marks for portion control. The marks are good, and easy to read. The problem is that when I hold the scoop in my hand I cannot tell if it should be level with the ground, or level with the sides of the scoop. Traditional measuring cups sit flat on counters. This does not. So it’s confusing! I took a perfect 1/2 cup scoop of dry food using my plastic scoop and put the food in this scoop. No matter how much I jiggled the scoop or tilted it up or down, I couldn’t consistently get my exact 1/2 cup portion to line up with the 1/2 cup line on this metal scoop. So I consider those lines a fail… or at least maybe just a loose approximation of portions.I do care about precise portions so I’m ordering a different stainless scoop that’s more like a traditional measuring cup. I’ll use this one in my freezer’s ice bin for now, although I’m afraid it might bend. A very nice scoop with measuring lines
I buy cat food in 18-pound bags and store it in a 5-gallon bucket with a gamma lid. It's too large and heavy to pour from, so a scoop is a must. The plastic one I've been using broke, so I've been looking for something to replace it.This scoop is almost too nice to hide in a bucket of Salmon & Sweet Potato Formula. It's well put together; the weld that holds the handle to the scoop is solid and barely noticeable. The scoop itself has no sharp edges, and the handle is ergonomically shaped and comfortable in the hand. The size is large enough that it can dish up a respectable amount of kibble.The bottom of the scoop has measurement markings. They are etched in, which makes them harder to read but also ensures that they are durable and won't wear off with use. My cats free feed on kibble, but for those who portion their pets' dry food, this is a very useful feature.Cleaning the scoop is easy. I sent it through a dishwasher cycle on the top rack, and it came out sparkling clean with no discoloration or rusting.This scoop is reasonably priced, and I would recommend it for scooping and measuring pet food as well as for any number of other household uses.
