Very nice tamper for Saeco Estro Vapore/Starbucks Barista SIN006
Nice tamper (53 mm) all around for the Starbucks Barista espresso maker. Very nice weight in hand and well-machined. The black on the handle matches the black of my machine and appears to be unscratchable so far.Note: if you are using the stock pressurized portafilter, this is still nice to have but not essential.If you have an unpressurized portafilter, this will be more of a game changer, yielding even tamping and better shots. (A bottomless portafilter will give you an even better indication of tamping technique; you can see the shot coming through the bottom, beautiful when done properly!).Bottom line: I highly recommend this for those who want to go beyond the plastic tamper or who are seeking to squeeze every last bit of quality out of their Starbucks Barista without upgrading to a new machine (and/or grinder).

Good for 'vintage' Saeco machines.
Has enough heft, Although handle is hollow aluminum. May want threadlocker, as is two pieces. Can add weight.Good fit for Edisia UK unpressurized 53mm portafilter handle/basket. (Ordered elsewhere) Very snug, functional. Is used with a 90's-2000's home Saeco espresso machine.Anodization ok, uniform on handle.Bottom has some concentric ridges which may be considered a feature.Easier than making for one's self. Good value.

Good quality tamper for 58mm Gaggia Pro Classic
At this price I was impressed at the machining. The beveled edges , brushed surfaces and bottom surfacing are all done well. There are a few minor quality nicks less than 1/4 mm and not visible to the eye. The aluminum handle has a modern look, and matches well with the grey & black aesthetic of the Gaggia Pro classic. Diameter tolerance is very good, fitting into the portafilter with about 0.5mm clearance all around.I recommend unthreading the handle and adding a dollop of silicon (food safe) grease to the threads. This will prevent moisture from collecting between the steel base & the aluminum handle during cleaning. After using wipe the tamper with a moist cloth to keep clean.This is an easy recommendation for anyone owning a 58mm portafilter like Gaggia Pro classic or other commercial grade espresso machines.

Perfect Tamper for Commercial 58mm Portafilters
This tamper is absolutely perfect. The weight is just right it feels weighty and sturdy. This was a perfect way to up my espresso game. Now my shots are coming out even and smooth. The polish on this is great and it may have a anti static treatment as none of the grinds stick to the metal surface. An added bonus is the height of the tamping surface before it tapers to the handle portion. It allows me to tamp evenly with the top of the portafilter and be more consistent. I use this with my Gaggia Classic 58mm portafilter basket. Get this tamper you will not be disappointed!
