The best colander ever! It is excellent for cleaning fruit, draining meat, and pasta. It's also great for an ice bath for boiled eggs. The Large 4.5-qt size is an excellent size; they also offer other sizes. This works best for most things for me. It cleans well with no rust or staining.
This has been an excellent addition to kitchen helps. I use it often. I do not recommend it for rice. You need a smaller wire strainer for that. But for so many other things it works really well, like, produce, berries, dry beans etc.
This is the perfect set and perfect size amd I don’t know how I lived without it before. So easy for rinsing your rice, steaming your veggies in a larger pot, or on and on. Perfect depth to holdEnough but lays shallow enough to not take up too much room.
I bought this to use as a rice washing colander, and have used it for that and as a traditional colander. As a regular colander, it works very well and drains quickly. As a rice washer, the holes are a bit too large, and this leads to rice grains getting stuck and/or broken. The bowl is a good size and is lightweight.It is dishwasher safe, light, and stores stacked nicely. I believe it was worth the price I paid.
I LOVE this strainer with the bowl!! I do not like draining boiling water or grease down my drains. This is perfect for draining then just lift the bowl to strain everything. It also works great for washing fruits and veggies. The 2.5 qt fits a full box of 16oz cooked pasta for reference, just pour slowly as it will be full.
These seem to be pretty good quality! No rust after multiple uses weekly and they come pretty clean through the standard dishwasher cycle!
after a little bit more of 1 Year of use, the one without mesh is leaking. normal use for vegetable washing and kitchen use, expected this set lasts longer.
