Great for making spatzel
I got this to make spatzel to go with my Oma’s Rouladen recipe. This was exactly what I needed. It even came with a recipe (make sure you measure in the correct units and it comes out perfect). Follow the directions and it was perfect. You just have to make sure the dough isn’t too thin or thick. Like a thick pancake batter. And then plop some on and push it through right away until it’s gone. I did the whole batch at once. The skimmer is worth the extra, it picked up every single little piece of spatzel out of the water. The scrapper was nice and flexible. Everything cleaned up easily. Recommend 1000%! Would definitely repurchase, the skimmer alone is worth it!

Most important?? It actually works!!
I had been debating on whether I wanted to get involved with making this noodle maker. But being a Hungarian, I wanted to make my own little dumplings or noodles as you want to call them, for our chicken paprikash. It was so easy and the grandkids really enjoyed, helping and watching, the making of these little morsels. I am thankful that I took the time to go through every noodle maker that I could find and this one is perfect. I like the fact that it has its own little spatula. Everything handles well. I saw some reviews where people complain that the underside of the stainless steel pan was extra sharp to be cautious. You didn’t cut yourself. I found that to be bogus. This thing is made of fine stainless steel and I would highly recommend it to anybody who wants to make their dumplings or their noodles. It was a great buy And under $20.

This is WONDERFUL for making Spaetzle!!!!
This is absolutely wonderful for making spaetzle! I got it for Christmas. They also give you a recipe for spaetzle, in case you don't have one, which is nice. Little tip, spray the top and bottom with non-stick spray before use and clean up is a BREEZE!! Making spatzle is SO EASY with this unit. You just plop your mix on top and scrap it into the hot water, and INSTANTLY have spatzle!! I LOVE IT!!!!! Clean up is a breeze also. I saw some for sale without out the screen scoop, but that is really handy to get the spatzle out of the pot. I will make spatzle a lot more often now with this unit. Get it, you will LOVE it too.

Nice spaetzle maker kit that even comes with a recipe card. Making spaetzle takes some practice and having a tall pot helps as distance between the boiling water surface and the top of the spaetzle maker should be about 4 inches for a good result.

I love this! It works wonderfully as long as you don't let the lid sit on the heat too long or it will start to heat up and cook the dough causing it to gum up make it hard to press through.Definitely recommend! It has made making spaetzle a breeze!Make sure to clean with cold water or it makes it hard to clean!
