Sturdy, durable, and aesthetically-pleasing cutting board that is eco-friendly and easy to clean - a great alternative to plastic and wooden cutting boards. This board quickly arrived one day after I purchased it. I love how it has two sides: stainless steel on one side and wheat straw on the other. It also has a built-in knife sharpener.One of my favorite features on the stainless steel side is that it has a mesh design that helps conceal scratches. The board is particularly aesthetically-pleasing because the mesh design is very unique and stylish - it looks great keeping it out on the counter/against the wall.I also like using the stainless steel side for cutting meats because you don't need to worry about the fluids seeping into the board, as opposed to plastic or wood. I also use the stainless steel side for chopping vegetables (and other sides) for small amounts of meal-prepping.The garlic-mincer on the wheat straw side of the board is very convenient, quick, and I can sprinkle the minced garlic onto the vegetables shortly after chopping them. This side of the board is also perfect for cutting fruit. I found it easy to clean after cutting strawberries - no red residue. I recommend using the wheat straw side for light cutting and the stainless steel side for heavy-duty.I also like how the rubber grooves on the side of the board help with retaining fluids and preventing them from spilling onto the counter (especially tomato seeds and juice). The rubber also helps with keeping the board more stable and not moving around. The handle on the side is another great feature. The price of this product is a good deal, given its high quality and durability.I highly recommend this eco-friendly product. I also think this would make a great gift for friends and family members of all skill levels.

Kobiva, a master class cutting board!!
Kobiva - Master Class board!!I was intrigued when I saw the Kobvia Scratch Resistant 304 Stainless steel cutting board on Amazon. I am older and have been spending most of my life chasing plastic and wooden cutting boards across the counter top. What caught my attention was that besides having stainless steel on one side, was that the other side was made of BPA Free wheat straw for cutting vegetables. The other attraction was that it was SLIP RESISTANT!!Upon its quick arrival from Amazon, I decided to give it a full workout. Crockpot chicken stew, here I come! One of the first thing I noticed was the quality and perfect weight of the board. No matter what I was chopping, the board stayed right where I put it. After chopping carrots and green beans, the handle made it easy to slide everything into the crockpot. Then I tested out the knife sharpener before cutting the onion. Wow! It worked really well! One thing that I noticed was that the onion odor disappeared when I hand washed the board.After washing the chicken, I placed it on the stainless steel side and had to press down hard to cut it into small pieces. There is well around the edge that prevents liquids from going onto the counter top. After washing the board, I noticed that there were almost no scratches in the steel. Easy to clean!!In the few weeks that I've been using it, besides the durability, it looks great keeping it on my counter for easy access.

I really enjoyed using it.It was really easy to clean.I have some concerns about the edges: they are too high, I can't cut to the bottom. I am trying to get away from wood boards and micro-plastics and this board offers a couple of alternatives with its stainless steel side and wheat straw structure. I plan on using the stainless steel side for raw/uncooked meats and the wheat straw side for everything else. Then toss it into the dishwasher and the whole thing is sterilized again.Once I received the board, I realized that this would also be the perfect cutting board for a RV/Camper/Yacht. Its light weight, it has a siliconized perimeter which keeps it from sliding around and a groove to collect any juices. The built in grater really makes easy work of mincing fresh herbs and spices (I didn't have any fresh garlic or ginger around so I tested it with a carrot). The built in stone sharpener lets you hone your knife as you are cutting, rather than searching for a sharpener and cleaning it separately. With one wash you are cleaning 3 tools at the same time without taking up too much space. When you are enjoying that RV or Yacht life, redundancy is key!The pattern on the stainless steel side has a 3 dimensional quality. it shifts based on the angle of light. It would make a great charcuterie board. I was initially concerned that the stainless steel side may show scratches from cutting. However, the way those block patterns are grooved into the stainless steel it does not show any scratches after cutting on the surface due to the tiny ridges. I suppose if you hold it in an acute angle to the light, you may see light lines, but you would have really go searching for it to see it. To that end, all cutting boards are designed to scratch a little otherwise you lose the sharp edge of the knife quickly.That being said, this is a nice little multi purpose kitchen appliance. You save storage space and time when cleaning up afterwards.
