Exactly what I wanted!
Looks like stainless steel and a magnet does not stick to it. Beware of imitations. I looked at a couple of dozen of these ice cream scoops before I settled on this one. There were a few that were polished or said they were polished but then in the reviews people were talking about how they were flaking. Just imagine what's in their food. To me this works just as good as the name brand aluminum ones that can't be put in a dishwasher and people do and then complain about how awful they look. This one is plenty strong and I can dig into hard ice cream with it with no problems. Highly recommend. I don't think it will ever break but if it does I will definitely come back and let you know. But I'm very happy with it right now. So The scoop is not bendable. Seems to be high quality. Has a nice appearance. Looks like it will be very durable. And the ease of scooping and use is excellent.

Great scoop for the price.
I received this item from the seller to review.First impressions:The scoop is definitely a solid chunk of stainless steel. It has a good weight and the finish of the scoop is good. Using the scoop feels good, it easily glides through ice cream unlike a lot of other scoops I have used. I first warm the scoop with hot water to aid scooping out stubborn ice cream. I do wish the scoop had a silicone or wood handle as it gets cold rather quickly when in use.I notice the neck of the scoop is a little thin, but it does not bend or give when scooping.For the price, I do recommend, and is much better than most scoops I have seen for more money at my local grocery stores.
