Anymore, I rely on the reviews before getting knife sets. I’ve noticed they are usually either great products or they are absolutely terrible ones. The last knife set I reviewed looked like it had aluminum foil around the block (it was supposed to just be transparent), and it was an affordable, but quite possibly the worst- set of knives I’ve ever used. This set is currently on sale for $49.99. It’s only $10 more than this previous set I had such a bad experience with so I was super skeptical about this set. I’ll just go ahead and get to the question you have right now: does it work and how well? Yes, this is absolutely a wonderful set of knives. They are light weight. The handles have a texture so you can grip them better while trying to cut. This set reminds me of those colorful sets that Cuisine Art makes around the holidays that everyone picks up as Christmas gifts for $19.99 on Black Friday. This set cuts and functions exactly like the brand I’ve mentioned, but you get the steak knives, scissors, block, and knife sharpener instead of the knives having nowhere to go and only a cover to protect them. I loved this so much that I actually replaced my current knife block in the kitchen with it and got rid of my old go-to set. This is usually not a habit of mine. In my picture, a few knives are missing from the block as I used quite a few meal prepping Thanksgiving yesterday. If you are looking for an affordable set that actually cuts, this set is perfect. The set I have are a beautiful off white/ crème color and the blades have a spotted granite look to them. I’ve really not come across any negative things with this set so far. They wash well in the dishwasher and I’ve definitely not had any problems with rust so far. I highly recommend this set. Especially if you love those little Christmas sets I mentioned previously. 5/5 stars.

Attractive, sharp knife set with added value from the steak knives - but a few design quirks
This set is clearly sourced from the same manufacturer as several similar listings on Amazon - the knives, coating, and even the packaging are nearly identical to another set I reviewed. That said, the addition of the steak knives makes this a more complete and useful bundle, which was my only real complaint about the other set.The knives themselves are sharp right out of the box and have stayed sharp through regular use. They’re lightweight but comfortable to hold, and the nonstick coating cuts smoothly through produce and meats. As before, I’m not entirely sure how durable the coating will be long-term, so I recommend handwashing only. The previous set claimed to be dishwasher safe, while this one does not - but it also doesn’t specifically recommend handwashing. Regardless, high-carbon stainless steel should always be washed by hand to avoid corrosion. And as with the other set, the handle fully encloses the tang, so there’s no indication of how far the steel extends into the grip. The various sizes provide a knife for most kitchen needs.The block is very attractive, but the nearly vertical design makes it slightly awkward to remove the knives if it’s placed under upper cabinets - there’s not a lot of clearance to pull the blades straight up. The utility scissors work fine for light tasks like packaging, but they’re not sturdy enough for poultry or heavier kitchen jobs.Overall, it’s a sharp, attractive set with a great presentation, and the included steak knives make it a better value than the versions without them. On the current sale, they are a pretty decent value. At the normal list price, I would probably shop around a bit. A few minor drawbacks, but it performs well for everyday kitchen use.
