Good quality stainless steel lunch box
This stainless steel lunch box is made from 304 stainless steel and weighs about 280 grams. It is a little heavy, but it feels solid and well made.The box seals well. The lid has a BPA-free silicone ring that helps prevent leaks. It comes with a removable divider, but I don’t really like it. The divider is a thin piece of steel with a blue coating that should be removed before use. It feels too thin and is hard to clean by hand, so I prefer using the box without it.The box itself is dishwasher safe, but I recommend removing the silicone ring before putting it in the dishwasher.This is a simple and good lunch box.

It’s the smaller one of the two listed (28 ounces and 850 milliliters, at the time of this review). It’s thick stainless steel with a locking stainless steel lid, which has a removable silicone seal. The container measures approximately 6.25 x 4.5 inches and is just over 2 inches deep. The lid adds about 0.25 inch to each of those dimensions. The container holds almost 4 cups of water without the lid.The lid fits very tightly, but is easy to open and close using the clips on each side of the container. The container doesn’t leak. I filled one about half full with water, left it sitting upside down for at least eight hours, and no water leaked. The silicone seal in the lid is removable; I assume that’s for better cleaning. I removed it using the blunt end of a metal butter knife, without scratching anything. A plastic disposable knife wasn’t firm enough. I then replaced the seal, and the container still didn’t leak. Although the container and lid are probably very durable, one concern is that removing and replacing the seal regularly might damage it a bit and make the container less leakproof. But I’m only guessing about that.There is one removable stainless-steel divider, which can be used anywhere along the width of the container. That’s generally very useful, but doesn’t separate liquids. The divider has a blue covering, which must be removed before use. That can be difficult, but it can be more easily lifted off with strong adhesive tape. I used package tape, and very, very firmly stuck it to a flat corner edge of the blue covering, and lifted it off slowly. It might take a few tries, but this prevents scratching and four-letter words.Stainless steel offers so many advantages compared to plastic. It doesn’t stain easily or hold odors. But it can’t be put in the microwave. It is, however, safe for the freezer and dishwasher. This container weighs about 9 ounces (just over one-half pound), which is a lot more than if it were plastic. But it weighs a lot less than glass. Glass is my personal preference for use at home because it can be microwaved. But it’s not very portable for school or work lunches because, not only does it break, it shatters….So, this container is great for school lunches, since those aren’t usually reheated anyway. It’s described accurately, but it’s pretty small. Depending on the size of the bread, it might not hold a normal-sized square sandwich, for example, not even if it’s cut in half. But it might work if the square sandwich is cut diagonally. Or if the bread is elongated. So, you can probably make it work for your needs. Overall, it’s also good for work lunches or snacks. There’s an almost infinite selection of foods which don’t need to heated. Such as salads, raw vegetables, snacks, crackers, etc.Aside from this container not being microwaveable, which is common knowledge, my only concern is the removable silicone seal. It seems like repeatedly removing and replacing the seal, in order to completely clean the lid, might damage it slightly and allow it to leak. But I don’t know if that actually happens. Otherwise, it seems to be very high quality. It’s likely very durable and I think it will last a long time. Although I’d personally prefer a larger size, I definitely recommend this smaller one if it works for you.

Very Good, Simple Bento / Lunch Box
Overview:This is a nice bento box / lunch box made of stainless steel. It is made of the better quality food grade stainless steel (18/10 aka 304), which has better corrosion resistance. It is good quality and well made, and I would definitely get more of them.Functionality / Quality:The container lid has a gasket seal, and the latches secure the lid tightly to the container. It does a good job of keeping the food fresh and not leaking. The gauge of the steel is good, and the box and lid are robust. It has a small metal divider that is secured with a friction fit, and lets you keep food items separated. Juices will cross the divider, but it otherwise keeps the food divided nicely. You can adjust the positioning of the divider to fit the contents, which is nice. And it can simply be taken out to be washed separately.Please note that the metal divider ships with a blue plastic film adhered to it. You'll want to peel that off.Size:They sell two sizes, and I got the 28oz/850ml version. This size is a little small for me personally for a complete meal, but is fine for containing food that will be accompanied by other food items. The 40oz/1200ml version looks like it would hold a complete meal for me.Price:At the time I got this it was $25. However at the time of writing the same 28oz/850ml size is now $12. This lower price is much better, a good value, and better matches the competition. I would not get it for $25, but the lower price I highly recommend.

Stainless-steel storage container in optional sizes, good for kitchen use, hiking, and camping
Food-safe stainless-steel container with a divider and a sealing ring around the edge. Available in several sizes.The one I received seals very well. I filled it half full of water, closed it, and shook it in every direction for a couple of minutes and didn't see any leaks. This, plus the size 4"x6" by 2" high, makes it good for camping and hiking, and possibly also for packing in a travel bag, as long as the two clasps are set in the right position. Also suitable for kitchen storage. Not microwave safe but can be cleaned in the dishwasher and probably used in the freezer and fridge.The divider doesn't match the quality of the rest of the container, it's a bit thin and potentially could give you a "paper cut" if you aren't careful, but the container itself is good. Since we don't really need the divider, we're happy with it so far.
