A good, but not great, measuring set
There is a lot I like about this set, but some relatively minor things prevent me from giving a full five stars. The big thing that sold me on this set was the metal construction. I already had both plastic and metal sets, and I generally prefer metal. Part of this is that the measuring sizes are imprinted in the metal, which means they will never fade away like I've experienced with plastic, sometimes causing confusion about the size. The shape is pretty traditional, which is fine. I prefer my cups to be more rounded instead of cylindrical, and my spoons to be more oblong (so as to fit into spice jars) instead of round. But that is simply a preference and by no means will that stop me from appreciating or using this set.The silicone handles are where I begin to question the design a bit. The box shows different colored handles, which makes a bit more sense for easy visual recognition, but the set itself is all black handles (which is how it shows in the product specifications). The silicone is a bit sloppy overall, with rough edges that will likely peel off a bit over the first few uses. The top is smoother and more rounded, but the back is indented, so the overall finger feel when holding these is slightly awkward considering the intention was comfort. Also, they add enough thickness to the handles so that when all are stacked together, they take up much more space. I might actually decide to toss the silicone altogether (it is easily removable) and just go with the metal handle. The set does come with metal rings for the cup set and the spoon set. I've never used rings like this and find them completely inconvenient and unhelpful, considering you tend to only ever need one size at a time, so I just ended up tossing them.Criticisms aside, these work and will definitely get use.
