This is a wonderful spatula-turner! The blade is very wide and long, allowing full scoops of food to be served in one pass. The utensil is made of stainless steel that is easy to wash. No dishwasher for this tool as the handle is wood and the dishwasher will ruin it. That being said though, it is VERY easy to wash by hand. Most of the time, everything will rise off under running water, then add some soap, rinse and dry. No worry about rusting either, as it is Stainless! Then you are ready for the next use. Not for pans of Stainless, or coated pans, as this tool is metal and will scratch. But pans made of glass, cast iron and the like will be perfect for this use. This tool is also rigid and will not bend under the weight of the food. The wooden handle is very easy to hold onto and does not get hot when in use. Very nice heavy spatula that is now my first choice when needing a spatula!

Solid spatula that gets the job done

I've been using this spatula for a few weeks now and it's working great. The stainless steel feels really sturdy and solid in hand. It's got good weight to it without being too heavy, which makes it easy to work with. The edge is thin enough to slide under things easily, and it's perfect for flipping or turning food. Surprisingly good value

I was very pleasantly surprised at the quality of this little spatula. I bought it to replace my old favorite spatula, which finally snapped off at the handle. This new one has more heft and is slightly larger. I also love the sapele handle. I had my husband buff it with beeswax in his workshop to make it shine and give it a little extra protection. That was just a personal preference. He works with sapele in the workshop, and it has become our favorite wood. It's a minor inconvenience to not be able to toss it into the dishwasher, but it's so easy to clean that I don't really mind. I heartily recommend this spatula to anyone working with an iron or steel skillet.
