This dough hook fit my 6qt Kitchenaid mixer perfectly AND cleans like a breeze. It’s solid stainless steel and heavier than my original.As a result, a whole new world opened up. I find difficult things I once avoided are now quick and easy with this dough hook. I’ve used it to mix various bread doughs, pizza dough and noodles so far. We’ve been pretty fed up with the poor quality of store bought bakery goods, not to mention the chemicals they add. Wow. The quality of this product is fantastic. I like it much better than the OME spiral hook that came with my kitchen aid. I am so glad I purchased it. I bake all the time and this has been a game changer. It even cleans easier than the kitchen aid part. The design is on point. I would have expected something of this quality to cost much more than it did. It’s much heavier than OEM. The stainless steel is much better than the cast oem tool. The value of this product is excellent.

Solid, heavy, sturdy, and a perfect fit for my 5qt, tilt head, Artisan Pro

Making bread again!!! Way heavier and better than the one that comes with the mixer, very sturdy. Like everyone else, my original one was the white ceramic coated aluminum, and the ceramic chipped, I was frustrated and angry that Kitchenaid would include such poor quality items with their expensive mixers. I have the 5qt, tilt head, Artisan Pro. at the time a $500-$600 mixer, with the traditional style bowl. I read a bunch of reviews before making my purchase, afraid of getting a cheap copy. I read reviews, and more reviews, I liked what I saw and read, confirmed my model, and went ahead and ordered. Yeah... you need to get this replacement. It appears to be durable, and looks to be Stainless steel, not a cheap aluminum replacement. I was hesitant to buy the one by Kitchenaid as many said it is not real stainless, and way more expensive. I replaced all 3 of my original attachments for around $60, and all are heavy, durable, Stainless Steel. Perfect fit for the 5qt, tilt head, Artisan Pro. I have only used it SEVERAL times, and so far so good.

This dough hook works wellThe top keeps the dough from traveling up to the top of the mixer. The only thing is the top edge is a bit sharp. Otherwise it's easy to use and fits on the mixer. I think its going to be worth the money in how easy it mixes the dough.
