Practical size everyday pot
This pot is a practical size for most kitchen tasks. It is the size I gravitate to most often, whether I’m making mac and cheese or pasta sauce. The stainless steel surface can take a lot of abuse and always scrubs up clean and shiny, as good and new. It is a real workhorse and I can use even stainless steel utensils on it so I don’t have to worry about my husband messing up the surface. I use it on a gas cook top and it works great, no hot spots or sticking. It has a nice, clear lid that lets me monitor cooking and that has a vent to help prevent things boiling over. Good, quality stainless steel stockpot. The lids fit perfectly well and help keeps the heat contains, make cooking faster. 5 quart size in my opinion is one of the most useful stock pot for everyday cooking, good size for cooking dinner for a family of 4 to 6. The pot is made of pretty thick stainless steel, easy to wash and clean after each cooking session and i feel safer to use them than the non-stick pots.

Perfect size for family
I have found this is the perfect size for boiling a side dish of pasta for the family. It would be perfect for 2 boxes of Kraft Mac n cheese. It’s not so heavy that it’s cumbersome. And since it has 2 handles, it’s easier to carry when filled than a single-handled saucepan and safer than having that long handle when on the stove. I love it for making soup too. If you’re familiar with stainless steel it becomes virtually non-stick when heated to high temps. So it’s ideal for me to saute veggies and meat before adding liquids and be able to do it all in the same pot. The lid fits on nicely. Unlike some other stainless steel lids this doesn’t just rest on top of the pot, but has a rim that sits inside the pot and keeps it held in place. I love the glass too. I can keep an eye on the food without having to lift the lid and loose all the heat. It’s super easy to wash and maintain. If I have any food that’s stuck to the bottom, I just add some water, heat it up on the stove to deglaze it and it slides right off. The size, lid, and easy maintenance will definitely make this a frequently used pot.
