LOVE LOVE LOVE this tea kettle! It is VERY high quality and looks super expensive. Works well and I like that it has buttons to open and close. Highly recommend!
This kettle was a replacer for a Faberware kettle that we had for over 20 years. The old kettle still worked but some decorative parts were loose and it was definitely showing its age. The new kettle has a nice shiny chrome finish with copper accents and a black handle. It looks great on our stove. I notice that some people have complained about how hot the handle can get--I have experienced this but it was long after the kettle whistled and I forgot it when I was outside. Other than that, I find the handle comfortable to use and it may feel hot but its definitely cool enough to handle. I do have my hand over center to open and close the spout, and the design seems quite good. I usually have my hand on the back side of the handle, but that is only because its easier to pour when it has water in it. Overall, a functional and attractive kettle.
My old faithful tea kettle that I've had for almost 20 year lost it's whistle. It was held on with a heat resistant silicone ring, but after all these years, it cracked and the metal whistle fell out. I thought about using it without the whistle but it was starting to show its age, and I have had a whistling tea kettle for as long as I can remember, so I decided to try to find a replacement.I selected this tea kettle based on the reviews I read online. The size is similar to my old tea kettle and has a handle and spout that work the same way. It looks great on my stove but it seems to take a little longer to boil the same amount of water as my old tea kettle. It may be the material. Not sure. The only real disappointment I have is that the whistle. The sound is pretty wimpy compared to my old tea kettle, which had a robust, loud whistle. No doubt about it when the water was boiling in my old tea kettle. But this one has a very faint whistle that never really builds up to a loud whistle. And it is a rather scratchy sound. Not melodious at all. I do hear it and know when the water is ready, but I wish it were a little louder and a little nicer to listen to.Despite the wimpy whistle, I would recommend this tea pot. It looks great, it's well balanced and easy to handle. And it does what it's supposed to do... boil water!
Love the color red, looks so pretty on my stove, maded well, would buy again!!
I thought this would be the perfect pot. Love the look, sturdy, shiny, nice. HOWEVER! Why after two uses I noticed the bottom in thr inside was beginning to rust!!! LIKE WHY!! I only used this twice!! Please do not buy this product!!!!!
I love my new tea kettle and am very happy with my purchase. It has a beautiful, ergonomic design which makes for easy and comfortable pouring. The kettle looks nice on my induction stovetop and we use it for making tea nearly every evening. The whistle is a nice sound, not too loud and piercing. The kettle is easy to fill either directly into the spout, or through the top after removing the lid. I did not find the lid to be difficult to remove, even when hot. The handle stays cool and there is ample cool touch covering on the handle to accommodate virtually any sized hand. I would like to give 5 stars, but I rate 4 because of the maintenance. I was hoping to keep the kettle filled with a bit of water like I always have with other hot water kettles in the past. The manufacturer instructions do specifically say to empty and dry the kettle after each use, so I did understand this at purchase. I initially did this, but since the kettle is used so often, I decided to test it and I started leaving a little water in the kettle knowing the risk. Well, I have noticed a bit of rust at the seam inside the kettle after only a month of daily use and leaving the water in the kettle. Certainly the kettle is still 100% useable and it doesn't bother me. I was hoping the "stainless" steel would not rust so quickly, but to the manufacturer's credit, this was fully disclosed and instructions given. I still believe the kettle is well made, and it looks and feels of good quality. Though I wish it could be as low maintenance as the old USA made stainless steel tea kettles were, I am still happy with my purchase and I would recommend this kettle to others. It is beautiful. Just know that if a little rust on the inside at the seam is bothersome to you, be sure to follow the manufacturer advice to empty and dry the kettle after each use. Despite this, I would buy it again and would also say it is gift worthy as well.
The Tea Kettle is just beautiful! Functional and decorative. So happy
