Very solid - but very large!
I like these and my husband really loves them. I like them because they are sturdy and no discoloration when using them. But they are large. My husband likes them for that reason! He is into large utensils. He says when you are cooking a roast or something of substance you want a utensil that can handle the weight. So, if you are looking for very sturdy utensils, these are it!

I was hoping that I would like this turner spatula when it arrived. I don't like it, I LOVE it! I have two others, from other companies, that I have been using for a long time. I have never been very happy with either one of them. When I received this StarPack spatula, I was surprised by how large the top of it was in comparison to the entire length of it. I really like that. I have never liked spatulas with long handles. I find them hard to control. This spatula is the perfect size!There are so many things that I love about this turner spatula. First of all, I really love the bright red color! I love the way that the stainless steel core goes right up to the very top of the head, which makes it very strong, yet it still remains so flexible. I love how thin it is at the top of it, which makes it very easy to slide underneath almost anything with ease. I love the thumb groove in the handle! I have never had that with any other spatula. It gives me total control when using it.I also love the very high quality silicone that is used. There is no odor to it at all and it cleans so well. It is great that it can withstand up to 600 degrees of heat. That gives me total peace of mind. I really appreciate that it isn't too heavy when holding it. I have some old spatulas that I never use because of that reason. All in all, it is everything that I was hoping for and so much more! I love to cook, so a good spatula is really a necessity! It works perfectly with my very large wok, and also with a smaller pan. It makes everything easier to do, from flipping food, to cutting it into little pieces while still in the pan, to removing it from the pan. The silicone protects my ceramic pans from any damage. A really great spatula!

Disappointed. And that is a first for this product line.
Well, see that ugly little spatula in the front? That antique ( I'm going to be kind and say it is 40 years old, but likely older) little flipper was what I was attempting to replace.We are talking a rigid flipper for hamburger type patties in a non-stick pan. The handle is rigid, the flipper part relatively solid with a bit of give. I'm assuming because it is so old there are no cancer issues with it, but it finally developed a crack in the plastic, so while I can temporarily keep sanitizing it in boiling water, it really needs to go.What it did well was flip meat patties and anything else heavy enough to require a bit of help. I'm talking about that first stubborn slice of lasagna, that unfortunate cake slice, etc etc. You all know what I'm talking about.This spatula....nope. Not even close. It refused to flip the patty, it refused to pick up the patty, it was too large, too cumbersome, and I am working at not being overly negative.I'm not going to return it because I think it has a future flipping lighter stuff like pancakes, French toast made from homemade breads and the like. It just does not have the heft to deal with the heavy real tasks. This one simply cannot stand up to the tasks I was demanding of it.Starpack, make me a spatula like the poor 40 year old guy and I will love you forever! I have multiple stainless that can deal with patties, lasagna, etc, but they can't deal with the "non-stick" coatings. Well, not without destroying the pans and that is not optimal.Oh, and my apologies for the picture. Yes, both utensils are greasy because I just wiped them off and stacked them so the differences could be seen, grease and all!
