These knives make/made a statement on the dinner table. They are wickedly sharp. The handle is secure, being a single piece with the handles attached to the full length. (full tang). The hammered 'edge' really makes it stand out as special. I don't love the orangey color of the handle but I can overlook it given the rest of the design. One of my dinner guests commented that it looked contemporary and 'cool looking'. I would agree. They went through the dishwasher without any ill effects.
