Just as advertised and commented on by prior customers. Very sturdy, well made. The feet fold down or up, down position best, so it's not sitting in the water. The hook is handy for grabbing it in or out of the pot. Will fit different sized pots. Great quality and pricing. :)

This is the best steamer basket I have every owned. It's larger than normal but it fits in my 3-quart pots. Haven't tried it in my 2-quart saucepan yet, which is less wide. The legs are tall so you can put in a lot of water without it boiling up onto your veggies. I have burned pots because the water steamed out before the veggies were cooked. The legs fold too, so you can stack these baskets in your cabinet. When buying others, the legs are too short, or the pieces fall off, or the legs bend, or the center holder falls off. This one won't do any of that. The center holder is a big, thick loop. It is a little hard to get it out of the pot though. There must be some simple way that I haven't figured out yet! If I had a little hook, it would make a big difference in ease of getting the steamer out of the pot when filled with hot veggies.
Overall good steamer basket. Especially like the folding "legs" for different heights.

When I first got this, my adult daughter scolded me for wasting money on an item we already had. But I didn't like the one we had, it was cheap with feet that would fall off and get lost in the drawer.After she used it a few times, she loves it and thanks me for getting it. And she appreciates not having to go hunting for the feet and loves the handle that sticks up from the middle of the basket making it easier for her to pull out of the pot.
