Very lightweight but does the job perfectly

I was very skeptical about buying this pan because of how good the price was. I figured I'd give it a try and return it if I didn't like it.When it arrived and I lifted the box, it was SO light I thought It would be poor quality. But I was wrong. I needed this specifically to steam homemade seitan and it works perfectly. It's a good size, I can double my recipe and fit it all in the pan. It is easy to clean and it steams my seitan perfectly.I've used it 4 times already and it still looks brand new.The lighter weight is actually nice because I have arthritis and it is much easier to clean items that aren't super heavy.

Not perfect, but I love this steamer pan!

Okay - its light weight and feels cheap, but for our needs on a Thermador gas stove (all the burners are large), this steamer pan is perfect for us! I can steam a lot of veggies or reheat whole meals in the steamer basket. I have even used it to steam hot dog buns and it is great for that as well. I ordered it because it is a larger size and stainless. I put the steamer basket in the dishwasher but tend to handwash the lid and clean the base with vinegar to get rid of hard water residue, but have had it for 2 years (orderd Nov. 2022) and still recommend it to my friends.

Cheap Chinese Steamer

This item is actually usable but was shallower than I had expected. It is very light weight but that is because it is made of "too-thin stainless steel". Will it last over twenty years like my other steamer, I am not sure, but as thin as the metal is it is going to warp eventually. Of course this is what you get with such a low price. What their marketing didn't say was that this was Chinese made, otherwise I would not have purchased it. Simple really, BE HONEST ABOUT WHERE YOU PURCHASE YOUR ITEMS. Not all of us support what has become a tangible enemy.
