Great for a mosaic substrate!
Great price for these, which are absurdly expensive in craft stores. First I wrapped one in alkali-resistant fiber tape (used in stucco repair), spread a layer of thinset over it and mosaic tiled it to look something like a Ndebele painted house in Zimbabwe. (The women paint the village houses in vibrant colors and designs. Then the rainy season comes and washes them clean. After harvest, the women get together and paint them all again!) I teach mosaic art, so I provided these forms for my students to work with. First picture is my process, second picture; an actual Ndebele house, last three are mosaic houses by my students. I also taught a "Garden Totem Pole" class in which we hot glued three forms on top of each other, did the mesh and thinset, and tiled them (last pic is of a student's totem pole). Using a thinset layer and then thinset as a tile adhesive, these are outdoor worthy sculptures!

Fake cakes
The foam dummies were very easy to work with and held up well to multiple layers of fondant and decorations. The white color was easy to cover and the 6 x 4 inch size was perfect for stacking multiple tiers to create a beautiful display.I also appreciated that the pack came in a set of 6, giving me plenty of room to experiment and create different designs. The foam material is high quality and looked very realistic once decorated.
