Perfect for kitchen counter top.

I bought a rectangular trivet awhile back to keep items next to my kitchen sink from getting wet. We have an old house and the water splash always goes forward towards the wall. We store items near the wall, next to the sink, so I got this decorative trivet to help keep dry my stuff. This trivet is great for keeping my counter stuff dry, as well as placing hot pans on. Works so good that I bought this Oval trivet to keep garden veggies on. Since our dishwasher is also next to our sink, I bought the oval trivet to to solve another concern. I keep my ceramic container near my sink, which I use for fresh veggies from my garden. Because the counter get a little warm from the dishwasher, my fruits would spoil faster. The counter doesn't get hot, just a little warm. The distance of the trivet top and kitchen counter allows enough airflow that the container I keep my garden veggies in protects my veggies/fruit from the little warmth that came from the dishwasher. These trivets have similar decorative designs and I enjoy the multipurpose use of them.
