I actually use these for dust baths in my quail cages--the cages have a ridiculously small opening and it's nearly impossible to fit anything through it. I was so thankful to find these! They just collapse down and pop right back into shape once in the cage. I'm actually thinking about buying a couple for baking as well; they are good quality and will last a long time.
This is a high quality dish in a clean, attractive color. My use case is a little different. I use it to store fruit in the oven of my truck camper. The soft silicone prevents the fruit from bruising or sliding around (if the fruit isn't round) on bumpy roads. And the pan doubles as a baking dish when needed. It is the kind of high-quality, dual-use gear I look for in my space-limited camper. I'm pretty picky, but there's nothing I've found to criticize about this product. It is easy to recommend. Five stars.
This does NOT smoke when heated, unlike inferior silicone products, attesting to its quality. I will order a few more.
Great pan, easy to use, and easy to clean. It still gets hot!! I put it on a cookie sheet for stability. Knowing what I know, I'd buy one with a frame, but I love the silicone.
Performed as advertised and of course, it being silicone it was simply a breeze to clean up. I did place the pan on a cookie sheet as silicone is soft and pliable, not rigid like metal would be. This made for easy entering and removal from the oven with no wobbles, tilting, or spillage. If baking a sheet cake I'd most definitely advise removing it from the pan and icing or drizzling a topping as I would be wary of cutting into a baked confection since this is silicone. I don't think I'd even risk using a plastic cutting utensil.
This works well but I would not use it with something that will have a lot of liquid when it is time to take it out of the oven. It is much more rigid because of it's thickness, it is really thick, than I expected but one must still be careful when using it. I've baked a cake and some chicken in it, and it works just like a regular dish. I recommend this.
The advertised measurements include the pan edges & handles. It will not produce a 9x13 cake. Returned.
