Great set for packing lunches or snacks
I have started switching my plastic lunch containers to safer options. One of those options is silicone. I also love that these are flexible and don't dent or get damaged easily. The lids are easy on and off and they are easy to use for meal prep then store in the freezer or fridge then microwave or pack with ice packs (for cold lunches and snacks).You get two full sets. Both of my teenaged sons have special needs and strict dietary restrictions and sensitivities. They can't eat what is served at school. For snacks, we pack a lot of gluten and dairy free options, along with fresh fruits and veggies. One son eats mostly cold lunches and the others likes to warm his lunches. I like that these go from refrigerator to microwave easily. He can eat straight from the container. They also travel well for car snacks. One of my sons eats breakfast in the car, so it's easy to warm his breakfast and then he can eat it on the way to school. If he doesn't finish, he just puts the lid on and can finish it between classes.This set is made from a high quality silicone and washes well. I also think they are a good value and much nicer than plastic containers from the store. I highly recommend these. They look somewhat small, but they are actually quite roomy and deep. I can even pack a sideways juice box, whole piece of small round fruit or small carton of milk in them. These segmented lunch/snack containers are wonderful for kids and adults.

Nice containers if you can get them for a low enough price
I read that when trying to determine the quality of the silicone, you can bend it and if you see white (instead of it's regular color), then that means there are additives in the silicone. The more white you see, the more additives there are. This product does show some white (see video) but not as much as some I've seen, so I would consider this somewhat OK for food. I have decided personally that I won't use silicone for cooking or heating food, and I won't put it into a hot dishwasher, but it is OK for freezing food. For the price, I would have expected better quality silicone (I have seen perfect silicone where no white shows at all).My video shows a bean soup that was frozen. It was difficult getting the frozen food out of the containers (that were taken directly from the freezer). If I let the container sit for 10 minutes, it became easier to remove the food blocks (or you can use a knife like I did in the video). I think that tapered walls instead of vertical walls would help in this area.Overall, I like these silicone food containers and I recommend them if you can get them for a low enough price.
