Perfect Deep Dish Pie Pan

My 46 year old deep dish pie pan finally cracked and fell apart in the sink. It lived a good long life, so I said a sad goodbye to it and headed here to find a shiny new one. I need a LARGE deep dish pie pan. It gets used for making big quiches and gigantic apple pies.This one looked gorgeous and I loved the dimensions. It arrived in perfect condition and the glaze on it is thick and looks very sturdy. It is heavy!The dimensions are just right for my gigantic apple pies! The first thing I made in it was a deep dish Chili Relleno Quiche for a crowd of board gamers. Bake time was correct and on the dot and the quiche released from the sides of the pie pan easily.This dish will easily hold a double 9" pie recipe for the filling.I'd recommend this pan to anyone who needs an oversized pie pan. Just note that with the pretty scalloped edges you won't be able to make a fancy one crust crimped edge as easily as with a standard pie plate. But it can be done with a little finagling!
