I love these! We were always scratching our pans no matter how hard we tried not to, when cutting brownies and that sort of thing. These do the job without doing harm. Very sturdy too. I found that on some things, if it was hard to cut through, I just held the knife down and used my palm on the top of the knife and using a rocking movement, was able to cut without any problem. I would say these are safe for kids to use as well.

At least not food before I eat it. I use this to cut food after I have eaten it-that's right, I use it as a turd cutter or turd breaker. If they come out hard and I don't break them up they will clog my sewage system and there will be a water overflow. I did not want to use a metal knife because the metal knife would tend to make marks on the white porcelain. Both of the nylon knives are sharp enough, strong enough and long enough to do the job and easily come clean when I wipe them with a soapy wet piece of toilet paper and of course they make no marks on the porcelain. I also add a dollop of liquid dish-washing detergent to help it all go down smoothly. I'm sure these nylon knives would also do a super job of cutting as part of food preparation. Highly recommend for whatever you want to cut that isn't so tough that it needs a sharp metal knife.
Bought these to minimize damage to my bakeware (mostly aluminum). Not sure if I'd trust them with nonstick surfaces but that's not what I bought them for. Excellent cutting ability with everything I've used them on so far and no damage.

I was hoping for a good quality item, threw away package and got stuck with a bad product, lesson learned.
I only received one knife, and it is okay nothing special not very sharp.
