great bottles in a dark amber color

these flip top bottles are great for my home made soda and gingerbug probiotic drinks. they are pretty easy to clean and the design is timeless. they all survived shipping and have not lost a bottle yet. they seem to be very durable. the flip top seal is good and the best part is i can get replacement seals as they wear out. they are a perfect size leaving head room for the carbonation and having a normal ammount of drink in the bottle

Seal really well

I ordered these for my second brew (the flavoring phase) of my kombucha. I needed a second set of bottles so I could double my batches. These bottles are great - I love the amber coloring as it helps keep the light out of the brew, and these bottles are really sturdy. The bottom of the bottle is wider than my other bottles, and it makes them incredibly stable - no worry about these falling over. They also seal beautifully. The only down-side is that the neck and opening are even more narrow than my old clear set - which makes flavoring with whole berries much harder. I tried cutting the berries in half, which was great to put in, but they swell up while brewing, and were a pain to get back out. Instead, I've turned to purees as they are easier to get in and out of the bottle. This is a minor problem though. I've made two batches of kombucha in these so far, and they do a great job. Nice and fizzy results! Overall, I'd buy these bottles again. They are a quality product and a good buy.
