WHAT WE LIKED: Pretty wood design and nice quality.WHAT WE DIS-LIKED: 1- This took a long time to arrive, 2- This is quite tiny. While we expect a salt cellar to be small, this was extremely tiny, esp for the price, 3- No spoon included.If the three issues we mentioned don't bother you, and you are looking for a wooden salt box/container with a nice finish and small footprint, go for it!
From what I was able to gather from the other reviews of this, buying one of these is sort of like buying a lottery ticket. I am happy to report that I also apparently won, because the box I got was beautiful. The graceful lines were similar to the one in the item photo, but obviously real life looks somewhat different than photoshop saturation and contrast editing. The lid fits appropriately and does not seem like it was pulled out of a bin filled with duplicates of itself (though it probably was). It has a nice heft to it so I feel somewhat confident it's actually olivewood and not acacia masquerading as such. I wanted something to keep salt in on the dining table that would look appropriate as decoration as well, and this fits the bill.
The wood doesn’t match top and bottom. Feels loose when opening and closing. Maybe opt for the ones made in France instead of China, for a few dollars more
Nice salt box, but small. I use it to keep a salt/pepper/garlic powder mix by the stove - something I don't use in large amounts. I have something larger for just salt. Lid fits well. No cracks or blemishes.
So, these are pretty decent. Fit and finish is nice and smooth and it really doesn't feel super cheap, which was a surprise. So I ordered a few more. I guess I got lucky the first time, because it turns out that sometimes you'll get one with a gorgeous orange and tan finish with beautiful grains, and sometimes you'll get one with dull browns and greens in the wood with ugly grains. I mean, hey, it's olive wood, so what do you expect? However, just know that you're rolling the dice on getting a stunning one or an okay one. I wish the stock photo had a variety of possible items instead of just the ideal one.

This is very pretty and I got it specifically for it's size and stated magnetic lid. However, the lid is not magnetic.
