My husband and I are both so impressed by how well made these were. We looked up the metal stamp at the back and they are made of Japanese steel. Sweet! Larger than expected

I love the shape, the balance of each utensil in the hand and the finished surfaces. There is enough space between the fork tines to pierce food while allowing for safe cleaning. There is sufficient space in the spoons to hold a mouthful. The knives can really cut. The weight is just right—not too light, not too heavy, There is only one drawback. They seem to be made for larger people than the 5 foot crowd. I like them, so for me they are a keeper.

Exceptionally balanced, a joy to eat with

I got this set to replace our old set of flatware that we disliked. I’m comparison, this set is much easier to eat with! I love the forks, which have a nice tang shape that slides through food easily, which means much less food falling off of the end. They are wider, which makes it easier to get more food on the fork. The spoons are a joy to eat with - the larger soup spoon holds a good amount of soup. The knives are steak knife style, which is nice, but I will want to keep a couple of butter knives around. The finishing work is good - I do find the back end of each piece to be a tad sharp, but it will soften with use. This is a definite upgrade, and the quality is excellent.
