I grew to like them
Update: it's Dec 2023 and I already forgot when I bought these, but they are great. Definitely have held the test of time. And they worked with so many cup geometries. Bumping to full 5 star -- well deserved.Original review: These are smaller than the strainers I used before. Initially, that put me off, but over time I understood that I am not losing anything with smaller size, and the asymmetric wings (combined with smaller "body" diameter) make these quite versatile -- they'd work with narrow cups and wide ones too. Another thing that initially struck me as negative is the thinness of the metal these are made of -- thinner than any of the other 3-4 I went through. This has not caused any issues though over several months of use.Now, the 2 things we really care about: (1) perforated bottom (so that the strainer does not move the water up as you remove it form the cup) -- check, and (2) spot-welds holding up over time -- check (so far). Also, I was initially thinking that these being sold in pairs is an attempt to deliver 'value' in quantity, not in quality .. but (again, after a test of time) it looks like the quality is there and I really like to have two identical ones, so that if one is dirty, or I am making tea for 2 people I can use the 2nd one knowing what to expect from it as it has all the physics/behavior of the 1st.

Excellent quality and easy to clean
My husband and I drink tea every day, multiple times a day, so we use these strainers to a good use. I was pleased with them, so I later bought two more sets. Both the strainers and the lids (we use them more like saucers) have stained over time but that's only aesthetic and they still steep the tea really well. I was initially hand washing them but now throw them on the top rack of my dishwasher without any issues. The price is affordable and the quality is excellent, so you can't go wrong with these strainers - I highly recommend them!

So, I bought this for the herbal teas I’ve started to drink, to help with my coffee addiction. But interestingly, this works REALLY well for pour through coffee. I used a coarse grind for French press with this, and it makes a really solid coffee. Perfect for one cup. So I’ll be traveling with this in the future, and taking it camping with me. So then I can have herbal teas like it’s meant for, but also so I can make a solid cup of coffee in the field.I Genuinely would buy this only to make coffee while camping, it’s that good. If unique is what you seek…
I love these!!!I love the special enjoyment that I get when I’m drinking tea using unique, cute strainers. But I wanted something a little more functional but still with something kinda unique about it, and this strainer is just that. When I put my loose tea inside the strainer, everything stayed inside the strainer, the strainer itself rested nicely on the rim of my cup, it also came with a lid for steeping and here’s what I think is REALLY cool, you can remove the lid and set your strainer inside it for a no mess tea sipping experience. I regret that I only bought 2, I should have ordered 4. So you know what that means…🤔 I need to order two more!!! I’m loving my new tea strainers with lids. If unique is what you seek, I think these will do the trick!!!
